Sorry this isn’t helpful but I don’t like any. They all sound a little too contrived, like you’ve changed the original name too much in order to find a nickname, aside from [name]Lee[/name] which I just don’t like. I’m sure once your baby has arrived a nickname will come naturally. My favourite would be [name]Celie[/name], but I think you can only use it with [name]Cecilia[/name], as [name]Cecily[/name] doesn’t have the same sound.
I really like Lissy. I think it’s adorable. Cece would be my instinctual nn though, I think. Lissy really is cute, though.
What about CeCe (pronounced See-see)? I had a friend in high school named [name]Cecily[/name] and she also went by Cece. I also think [name]Cecily[/name] is a lovely sounding name that doesn’t need a nickname.
[name]Celie[/name] is my fav on your list. I think it’s lovely on it’s own and as a nn

[name]Celie[/name]- I like the way it looks, but just FYI, the pronuncation “[name]Sealy[/name]” sounds just like the mattress brand [name]Sealy[/name]. Maybe no one else will make the connection. it is cute, but I can’t get over the mattress similarity.

[name]Cecily[/name] is one of my all time favourites too, great choice! From your list, [name]Celie[/name] is my choice.
But I’m afraid I do agree with the first two posters - most of your nn’s ideas do seem you’re looking a lil’ too far from the name. Some other nn’s I can think of &/or prefer are (sorry for repeats!)

Celi/Selly - I would pronounce your [name]Celie[/name] like this though, and not like [name]Sealy[/name] as I also think of the bed brand ‘[name]Sealy[/name]’.
But I’m sure you may have thought of these already and vetoed them for your own reasons. As one poster said, the best nn’s often just happen on their own.

Thanks for the feedback! I realize that some of the choices are a bit of a stretch, but that doesn’t bother me. And I do love [name]Cecily[/name] on her own, but I am one of those people that needs for a name to have a nickname (my own name has no nn’s and that has always bothered me).To clarify, I am not pregnant and won’t have kids for a long time, just love names! And even though I would call my own kids by their full name, I like names to have good nn’s. Anyway…
To everyone that suggested Cece, I am not a fan, thats why she wasn’t on the list. Sorry! I have thought of Cessy but some have said it sound to much like sexy. I do like Sassy though! I have considered [name]Lily[/name], but I am not sold yet. I am really loving [name]Sally[/name] though, thanks hazelet!! Not sure how I have never thought of that one, ha! I think [name]Cecily[/name] nn [name]Sally[/name] is my new favourite…for now.
