Feelings on Fiona?

[name_m]How[/name_m] do you feel about [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] for an American baby? Please give me any of your thoughts on this name. For example, what would you name siblings, what do you picture a [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] to be like, and what name style do you put [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] in…(Trendy, classic, etc)? Thanks in advance!

I’m not sure exactly what category I would put [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] in, but I think it is more on the classic end of the classic/trendy spectrum. I think it’s very pretty! [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] is a very familiar name in the US so I don’t think it would be odd to anyone, even if you are not of Gaelic heritage, if that’s what you mean?

[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and…

[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
[name_f]Livia[/name_f]
[name_f]Emme[/name_f]
[name_f]Louise[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Avalon[/name_f]

It’s a bit dated where I live (UK) but I would love to see it used more elsewhere because it’s such a beautiful name! It has nice nicknames like Fi, [name_f]Fifi[/name_f] and [name_f]Fia[/name_f] too.

[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] makes me picture nice people I’ve known with the name. I’ve yet to meet a [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] that wasn’t nice.

I really like it. I know a baby named [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], I think its cute for a baby and a nice adult name.

Cute name…

I’m not sure where I would place [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] but definitely not as “trendy”. It’s a sweet name, I don’t personally love it but I do like it and would find it refreshing to meet a little [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]

I love it!

I think in the US it’s still a new and refreshing choice. Feminine, classic but not overused.

I know two little girls named [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]. One has a sister named [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and one has a sister named [name_u]Wren[/name_u].

Thanks so much. I made sure I mentioned that I was in [name_u]America[/name_u] because I know a lot of UK berries find it dated, but it seems fresh here.

[name_u]LOVE[/name_u]. I am not from the US -but whatever. It’s a beautiful, sweet name.

I love [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]! I’m currently trying to fit it on my own list. My first thought was [name_f]Claire[/name_f], probably because there used to be a TV show with sisters named [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_u]Clare[/name_u] on it that I used to watch. I also think [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], [name_m]Nigel[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], etc., would work well with [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], too.
