Felicità?

This is the Italian version of [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], pronounced feh-lee-chee-tah. As far as I’m aware, it has no given history as a name, but it has a nice sound and meaning that definitely make it feel like one. What do you all think?

Felicity is one of my favourite names, so I probably should like this more but it just seems unappealing to me.

I find it a little tricky to say but I think it could grow on me

I like it! It’s a bit punchier and peppier than Felicity, and without the unfortunate meme connection of Felicia.

Although I’ll now have this stuck in my head all evening

I feel like most [name_f]English[/name_f] speakers will mispronounce it incessantly, but I do think it could work as a name. :woman_shrugging:t3:

@katinka - now that’s stuck in my head!

It is a fun take on [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], but the pronunciation isn’t very intuitive for the typical [name_f]English[/name_f] speaker. I would have pronounced it Feh-lih-sit-uh. It’s very pretty, though.

I like it! I do prefer [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] thoufh

Cute! If I saw it without the accent mark I would’ve assumed the Spanish pronunciation and I do have to keep reminding myself to say the C properly.

But a fun name nonetheless and puts an interesting, youthful spin on [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] imo

I really like it! It’s just that bit funkier than [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] that i thinnk could really work
However, although i had no trouble pronouncing it as an Italian speaker, i think monolingual [name_f]English[/name_f] or other non-romance languages would struggle a bit.

I think it’s a sparkling name, but now I’m humming song  The pronunciation doesn’t seem too intuitive for a non-italian speaker

Very interesting! I don’t know how I feel about the ending sounding like “cheetah.”
