I think [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] are both gorgeous names! Either would serve a girl very well, and it would be hard for me to pick one over the other, honestly.
I prefer [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. It feels more stylish and less “old ladyish”. But the nickname [name_f]Bea[/name_f] is cute. Overall, I really like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is just ok.
I prefer [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].
[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] meaning and beautiful sound.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is very nice, but I always have the picture of a snooty, spoiled girl in my mind. It has some super cute nn’s like Filly, Flity, Flicka, etc.
I think they’re both good, but I wouldn’t use them myself. They would go really well as a sibset, or even as a first/middle name.
I like [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], but I slightly prefer [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] I have a hard time taking seriously… she’s almost too whimsical. But it has family significance which makes me like it more than I normally would.
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] are both lovely choices. It depends on what type of image makes you feel more comfortable because the names give off different vibes. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is serious, studious and responsible. [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is spunky, joyful and fun.
[name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts…
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] - a lovely elegant choice, she has this great virtue quality and has this lovely happiness association. I also love the range of nicknames; [name_f]Flick[/name_f], Fliss, Flissy etc my favourite being [name_f]Flick[/name_f].
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] - another great choice, she is again elegant and has a lovely regal sound. She screams femininity and has this lush Shakespearean sound. I honestly love [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]! Along with the nicknames surrounding her such as [name_f]Bea[/name_f] and [name_f]Trixie[/name_f]. I also love that she just feels classy.
I don’t have much to add that hasn’t already been said. I just wanted to pop in and say I adore both names. I love all the nickname options they both provide. [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is the cheerier of the two, the more whimsical; [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is a little more staid, though not boring. They’re both great.
[name_m]Both[/name_m] names are on my girls list, but I think I slightly prefer [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], only because [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is a smidge more lispy in sound.
I love both names. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] has come off and on my short list and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] would if it was a better match for the sibset. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] has cute nicknames, imho. I like [name_f]Bea[/name_f] and [name_u]Tris[/name_u]. I can’t think of anything good for [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. Have you considered [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]? It’s like a jazzy [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. Or [name_f]Felicia[/name_f].
Thank you berries for the feedback! It is wonderful to hear opinions and impressions of names. Now to the tough part, seeing if DH likes either of them enough to put them on the list.
Knowing my luck he won’t like either, but I can hope.
I love the name [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. So sweet and classy sounding, frilly without being too princessy. Many nickname options (my favorite is Lissy). [name_f]Happy[/name_f] meaning. What’s not to love? It just makes me smile.
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is completely different for me. It just is that one name you have no idea why you hate but you do. That is [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] for me. I see it and I cringe. I just can’t even… If I try to separate my feelings from it I guess it is an alright name, coming back into style, vintage and modern. I prefer [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] (or even better [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f]). I hope that doesn’t hinder your feelings though, because that’s just me, I have no specific problems with [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and would rather meet a [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] than another [name_u]Jaiden[/name_u].
I love [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]! It’s very sweet and vintage, and it’s just charming. I can’t help smiling every time I see it. I’d probably only use it as a MN, and since I changed my [name_f]Eva[/name_f] combo up, I no longer have her on my list, but I’m hoping to find a spot for her soon. I adore her.
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]… I feel like I should love her, but I really, really don’t. I feel like she has a really unattractive sound, and I just think of fat. Like mounds and mounds of lard, haha. And wet, overcooked noodles, and all sorts of disgusting things, lol! I like [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] and the Catalan Beatriu (bee-a-troo) much more, personally.
I adore [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]! I love the way it sounds, I love what it means, and I love how it feels. Beautiful name! I don’t care for [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] at all. It just feels like an old-lady name to me, and it just doesn’t sound pretty to my ears. I do like [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] though.
