Hello Berries. My brother will be getting a female great dane puppy later this week! We are all so excited to meet her. He is not great at names and asked me to help him think of names. The puppy will likely be black but could be a merle. My brother wants a name fitting to the regalness of what is soon to be this massive, beautiful dog. Ideas we have so far are:

I’ve read that dogs respond better to shorter names so I will suggest one or two-syllabled options. I think regal names would work but also some Northern European names, vintage names, word names and nicknames as well. Of course, your choice really depends on the dog’s personality. Your dog may be sociable or shy, energetic or lazy or even more human than some people!

I think my brother has decided on [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] for his new little* girl. ([name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] as her full name for her vet papers). I think he has made a good choice too (I liked that we got him away from the [name_u]Nike[/name_u], [name_u]Echo[/name_u] idea.
