I am a lover of word names as well. To me, [name_f]April[/name_f] and [name_u]January[/name_u] give off a feminine feel.
[name_f]April[/name_f] to [name_u]July[/name_u] are definitely female to me; [name_u]March[/name_u] and [name_f]September[/name_f] also feel more female than male but I think name-wise they’re pretty unisex.
[name_u]January[/name_u], [name_f]February[/name_f], [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_f]October[/name_f], [name_u]November[/name_u] & Decmeber feel male to me, however, only a [name_u]August[/name_u] feels like a male name, the other just seem masculine for whatever reason.
[name_u]January[/name_u], [name_f]April[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u], and [name_u]July[/name_u] seem feminine to me. The rest seem masculine or too hard to define.
I said this in the boy names forum, but most month names feel unisex to me. [name_f]April[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u], and [name_f]October[/name_f] seem very feminine to me, and so does [name_u]December[/name_u] (I voted for both [name_u]November[/name_u] and [name_u]December[/name_u] though [name_u]December[/name_u] is the only reason I did, [name_u]November[/name_u] is unisex to me.) I’ve really come to love [name_f]October[/name_f].
(I should mention that my perception of [name_f]October[/name_f] has been slowly shifting, I’m starting to appreciate it as a boy name.)
[name_f]April[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], and [name_u]June[/name_u] are all female to me. I prefer [name_u]January[/name_u], [name_f]October[/name_f], [name_u]November[/name_u], and [name_u]December[/name_u] for girls, but all would work for boys. [name_u]July[/name_u] works for both, and I actually find it more masculine (like a combination of [name_m]Julian[/name_m] and [name_m]Eli[/name_m]?) [name_u]August[/name_u] is all boy. I don’t have an opinion on [name_f]February[/name_f], [name_u]March[/name_u], and [name_f]September[/name_f] because I don’t really think of them as names.
I love how the name [name_f]February[/name_f] looks, spring-like, but that bru sound dooms it a bit for me for either gender.
I love [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_f]Augusta[/name_f], [name_f]September[/name_f] and [name_f]October[/name_f] too for females. I particularly like [name_u]June[/name_u] as a lifelong student/school teacher and it makes a sunny middle. [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] to me is one of those prairie schooners of a name, rollicking and mighty. The fall names are gorgeous, but don’t offer good nn options in my mind.
To me [name_u]January[/name_u], [name_f]February[/name_f], [name_f]April[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]October[/name_f] and [name_u]November[/name_u] feel more feminine to me. I like [name_f]October[/name_f] better as a middle name, same goes for [name_f]February[/name_f]. I’m actually really like [name_u]November[/name_u] more and more as a first name, with the nickname [name_f]Nova[/name_f]. So cute. Anyways…
Obviously [name_f]April[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], and [name_u]June[/name_u] feel female to me since they are relatively common female names.
BUT I wanted to say that I really adore [name_f]October[/name_f] for a girl also. Maybe it’s because my birthday is in [name_f]October[/name_f], but I think it would make a striking middle name in particular. There’s a berry on here, can’t remember who, that had the combo [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]October[/name_f] in her signature at one point and it made me love [name_f]October[/name_f] as a girl’s middle name. Plus, [name_f]October[/name_f] has Halloween, so that makes it even cooler :).
[name_f]October[/name_f] is my favourite month name for a girl, although I can see it working for a boy too. The ones that are clearly feminine to me are [name_f]April[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f] and [name_u]June[/name_u].
