Female Name Like Todd

My Dad’s name is [name_m]Todd[/name_m], and I was thinking of naming my daughter [name_m]Todd[/name_m] in his honor, but [name_m]Todd[/name_m] is a bit out there for a girl’s name. Does anyone have ideas for girl variations of [name_m]Todd[/name_m], or girl name spin offs for the name?

[name_f]Toni[/name_f]
[name_f]Tova[/name_f]
[name_m]Torin[/name_m]
[name_u]Teddy[/name_u]
[name_u]Tully[/name_u]
[name_f]Tasha[/name_f]

Since [name_m]Todd[/name_m] means fox, maybe [name_m]Fox[/name_m] as a middle name? It’s mostly trending for boys at the moment, but since it’s an animal name I think it could maybe work on a girl as well.

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Tori[/name_f]? That’s what I first thought of.

Pps suggestion of [name_m]Fox[/name_m] is great!!

[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]/[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f]/[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] nn [name_m]Todd[/name_m], [name_u]Teddy[/name_u], [name_m]Toddy[/name_m], [name_f]Dotty[/name_f]
[name_f]Dotty[/name_f]
[name_f]Dodie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]

[name_f]Dot[/name_f] was the first thing that came to mind theres also [name_f]ODeTte[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_m]Fox[/name_m] “[name_f]Etta[/name_f]” would be fantastic and a great way to honor your dad

Here to second the vote for [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] or [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] nicknamed [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] or [name_m]Toddie[/name_m].

I think [name_m]Todd[/name_m] would make a great middle name since it is honoring and nearly anything goes in that case. That being said, I think [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] or [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] nn [name_m]Toddie[/name_m]/[name_f]Tottie[/name_f] would be great!

I would use [name_m]Todd[/name_m] as the middle name. Obviously it is a first name for your family but I know people with the surname Todd, and I know people often use a surname (perhaps the mother’s maiden name, or another family name) in the middle spot so for me, it would fit beautifully.

[name_m]Todd[/name_m] -> [name_f]Tess[/name_f]

I love the suggestion of [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] or [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] nn [name_f]Dot[/name_f]. Another way you could approach it would be by spreading out the sounds:

[name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Therese[/name_f] [name_f]Odette[/name_f]
[name_f]Thea[/name_f] [name_f]Odile[/name_f]

Dott! Like the letters reversed!

You could do [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f]/[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] etc as a longer form of course, but those names aren’t to everyones taste and I think just Dott/[name_f]Dot[/name_f] is a perfectly lovely name on its own. I actually do know a baby who is just [name_f]Dot[/name_f].

I love it. Dott feels very special.

Wow - [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]/[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] “[name_m]Toddy[/name_m]” are fantastic suggestions!
