Female names ending in -ey

I am searching that kind of names because I like [name]Zoey[/name], but my OH doesn’t. Any ideas?

An “y” sound generally or “-ey” spelling specifically? I ask because a lot more have the sound than the spelling. And [name]Zoe[/name] itself is usually spelt differently.

Anyway, of -ey:
[name]Ashley[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name]
[name]Sigourney[/name]
[name]Sydney[/name]
[name]Stacey[/name]

[name]Just[/name] ‘y’ sounding, some of my favourites:

[name]Chloe[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Rosemary[/name]
[name]Lily[/name]
[name]Tansy[/name]
[name]Naomi[/name]
[name]Emily[/name]

As the pp asked is it “ey” you want in the spelling or just of it?
The only one I can think of off the top of my head that hasn’t been mentioned already with the “ey” spelling is [name]Hayley[/name].

But for the sound there’s

[name]Molly[/name]
[name]Holly[/name]

I had one friend when I was younger insist it was pronounced Percee-phone lol!

“ey”

not y. EY.

I’m assuming by -ey you mean the eeeeeeee sound, so I don’t see the difference between -y and -ey since they both make the eeeee sound, so I’ll just list whatever ends in eeeeee

A lot of these are stretches and spelling variations, but if you nothing strikes you from this thread, it may be worth looking through these that came up with a nameberry search.

A name that I love that I don’t think that has been mentioned is [name]Kinley[/name].

I don’t know what’s the problem, but I don’t care if ey sounds equal y. I like the way it looks. [name]Just[/name] that.

ooook then

I saw the name [name]Dorsey[/name] recently. It’s a surname, but I thought it could work as a first name for a girl or a boy.

[name]Waverley[/name] is one of my favorites.

Whoa there. You didn’t specify this at the outset, so people were just trying to help with limited information.

There are a few sites that will give you what you are looking for, the first one that comes to mind is babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com
You can search by “ends with” and “ey”
This will give you all names in their database that, you guessed it, end in -ey.
A quick search (which I linked to) gave 118 feminine names with the -ey ending.
