Female versions of Bryan?

We are expecting this summer and don’t know the gender. We are considering using [name]Bryan[/name] as a middle name to honor a family member. However, if it is a girl we would need some suggestions on how to make [name]Bryan[/name] feminine?

[name]Bria[/name]? [name]Brianna[/name]? Or maybe in your case, Brya or [name]Bryanna[/name]?

My favorite option to honor a [name]Bryan[/name] would be [name]Bryony[/name]. Different etymology, but it sounds very similar to [name]Bryan[/name], and it’s just so lovely. [name]Bria[/name], [name]Briana[/name], Brienne, and [name]Brynn[/name] could probably be other options.

Good luck!

Congrats! What about:

[name]Brianne[/name]
[name]Brianna[/name]
[name]Brie[/name]
[name]Bree[/name]
[name]Brin[/name]
[name]Ryan[/name]
[name]Brenna[/name]

Thanks all! I love [name]Brynn[/name], Brya, and [name]Bryanna[/name]. Would you say [name]Bryanna[/name] as [name]Bree[/name]-anna or bry-anna?

[name]Love[/name] [name]Brione[/name]! [name]How[/name] bout Cambrian? Okay just [name]Cambria[/name] N-middlename. This is my new fave name of the wk.

I like the suggestions of [name]Brynn[/name], [name]Brianne[/name] and [name]Brianna[/name] (prefer this spelling but [name]Bryanna[/name] is ok too). I’d say [name]Bryanna[/name] the same as [name]Brianna[/name] (bree-anna).

I think using [name]Bryan[/name] as a girl’s name is beautiful the way it is! If you are honoring a family member, then stick with the truest form - I think it’s stunning!!!

I totally agree and do like [name]Bryan[/name] for a girl. The problem is that we have chosen a gender neutral name if it’s a girl, so I think we want a feminine middle name to go with it.

What about [name]Briar[/name]? Might be a bit of a stretch but I think it is adorable

My name is [name]Bryanna[/name], honoring my uncle [name]Bryan[/name] :). Pronounced [name]Bree[/name]-[name]Anna[/name].
I think it’s very feminine while still paying tribute to a family member. And the [name]Bryanna[/name] with a ‘y’ is hardly seen compared to [name]Breanna[/name] or [name]Brianna[/name].

[name]Brynna[/name],[name]Briar[/name],[name]Brione[/name],Brishen…

I was going to suggest [name]Briar[/name] too, but I see someone did. I think that name is so beautiful! It might not be the most literal way to honor a [name]Brian[/name], but it’s so pretty!!

I have a friend that is named [name]Bryanna[/name] after her father, [name]Bryan[/name]. It is pronounced Bry-anna with the y making a long i sound.

[name]Briony[/name]
[name]Brynna[/name]

I love [name]Briar[/name] too, so my vote goes to [name]Briar[/name]

I have a nine year old daughter, whom is a twin, and I named her [name_m]Bryan[/name_m] [name_f]Lace[/name_f]. I added the [name_f]Lace[/name_f] for a feminine touch. She gets on me about it when I call the doctors and the receptionist says"okay we’ll see him in an hour" I remind her that her name is unique and that there is probably no other girl named [name_m]Bryan[/name_m]. She just told me that she likes her name, just doesnt like to be called a boy. So to me, I think [name_m]Bryan[/name_m] for a middle name sounds beautiful.

Diddo  I love [name_f]Briar[/name_f] too!

[name_f]Brynn[/name_f]
[name_f]Briella[/name_f]
[name_f]Braelyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Brianna[/name_f]
[name_u]Brin[/name_u]
[name_f]Bree[/name_f]

sorry for any repeats
