Feminine version of Rex?

My 7 year old is wanting a dog and has already picked out a name, [name_u]Rex[/name_u]. We haven’t picked a dog yet, but there’s a possibility it may end up being a girl. Any suggestions I could give him? I was thinking Rexi or something on those lines.

Technically, it’s [name_f]Regina[/name_f].
Your 7 year old is probably not happy with technically so I’d go with Rexi or [name_f]Roxi[/name_f].

Yep, it should be [name_f]Regina[/name_f]. Maybe [name_f]Reina[/name_f] could work.

I did not realize [name_f]Regina[/name_f] was the feminine version. He might like that. He probably would like [name_u]Rey[/name_u] for the [name_f]Star[/name_f] Wars connection. I had thought about suggesting [name_f]Leia[/name_f]. They wanted their youngest sister to be named that. :wink: I’ll try to remember to post what he decides when we get our dog!
