Feminization of Bruce?

Absolutely [name_f]Bruna[/name_f]!

It’s hard to think of a more masculine name than [name_m]Bruce[/name_m]! But you’ve gotten some great suggestions. I like simply sticking with “[name_m]Bruce[/name_m]”.

But what about “[name_u]Spruce[/name_u]”? It’s a tree, which goes nicely with the meaning of [name_m]Bruce[/name_m]. And it’s a fun and quirky nature name as well.

[name_f]Kenna[/name_f] [name_u]Spruce[/name_u] would be my favorite.

This thread is almost seven years old…

[name_u]Bryce[/name_u] would be my suggestion.

I would suggest picking a name with a similar meaning!

Nameberry has the meaning of [name_m]Bruce[/name_m] listed as “from the brushwood thicket”. This made me think of the name [name_f]Briar[/name_f], “a thorny patch”!

Some others with meanings comparable to [name_m]Bruce[/name_m]:
[name_f]Silvia[/name_f] (from the woods)
[name_u]Blakely[/name_u] (dark woods/dark clearing)
[name_u]Holland[/name_u] (wooded land)
[name_f]Acacia[/name_f] (thorny)
[name_m]Thorne[/name_m] (Nameberry has it listed as exclusively boy but I’ve met girls named [name_m]Thorne[/name_m] before)
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] (heather field)
[name_f]Meadow[/name_f]- this one is a slight stretch but still works I think.
[name_f]Heather[/name_f] (a type of brushwood)
[name_u]Sage[/name_u] (A type of brushwood)

Of these [name_f]Briar[/name_f], [name_f]Acacia[/name_f], [name_u]Sage[/name_u], and [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] I like best, with [name_f]Briar[/name_f] being the closest looking to [name_m]Bruce[/name_m].

Sidenote: I really love [name_f]Clara[/name_f] with [name_f]Georgia[/name_f].

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Brewster[/name_m]. It has the surname sound to it which softens it. Another idea is [name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f].
