I was thinking about it and [name]Fifi[/name] is a nn for [name]Josephine[/name], so [name]Fia[/name] could work.
Other names that have ph in them could work too.
[name]Delphine[/name] is lovely, or the frillier [name]Delphina[/name]/[name]Delfina[/name]
Another one is [name]Ophelia[/name].

@ash, yes, [name]Fia[/name] has been rescued from possible Spanish horror and goes at the top of my “Favorites I Would Actually Use” list. Okay, yeah it’s only the 3rd name to make that list and the first two belong to my daughter. But I now have a favorite for each! ([name]Will[/name] the person with a list of 20 whole sets for each give me a cheer! lol)

ha! I’m desperately trying to whittle it down to 10 each, 20 is just too unbearably long! Besides, I’m not sure I love all of them. I’m hoping I can get it down to at least 15 today. But yes, congratulations on having a favorite for each! Out of curiosity, what’s your favorite for a boy?

Of those listed, my favorites are [name]Fiona[/name], [name]Felicity[/name], [name]Delphina[/name], [name]Seraphine[/name], [name]Phoebe[/name], and [name]Ophelia[/name] (and, as mom to a [name]Sophia[/name] nn Phia, [name]Sophia[/name], but it sounds as though it’s not for you).

Wow, what’s the history behind [name]Ragnar[/name]? I saw it and I was like “What?!” But then, I should have known. I’ve seen much more out-there names tossed about on your threads. I quite love the idea of [name]Roderick[/name] nn Rook, too. That’s really cool.

@Ash, well, Ragnar is way less complicated than it would seem: I’d like a nod to my Scandinavian and/or Germanic roots, and hubby likes this one, so I just might run with it because I have zero hope of him ever giving approval to another. Roderick would count as far as I’m concerned and I can’t imagine what his problem is with that one; it’s much more normal and isn’t nn Rook the coolest? Someone around Nameberry suggested it long ago and I snagged it for my list. I’d love to use it, and I’m going to keep it around in hopes that it might grow on DH. Ragnar does have some other significance though; the “ranya” element resembles my mom’s name (Randy, which she hates and would not like being passed on directly), plus nn Ron would be a nod to Mom’s hero (Ronald Reagan). I like the meaning, and have admired Ragnar for awhile (it was on my long list with Pip), but it’s mostly that out of my entire list of pet favorites, dh only likes Ragnar, Riordan and Ethan.

Ahh, well, [name]Ragnar[/name] is still pretty cool.

I went to school with a [name]Roderick[/name], actually! He went by [name]Roddy[/name] (like [name]Robbie[/name] but with a “D”), which I sort of like, because I love [name]Brody[/name] so. I think [name]Roddy[/name] is a bit more cuddly and cute, but Rook is seriously cool; that’s undeniable.

I was just searching for fun when I started this thread, but have since found out that we’re expecting again, so it just got real around here. I haven’t seen It’s Always [name]Sunny[/name] in [name]Philadelphia[/name], but thanks for the comment on that too, it’s always good to know if there are weird little things like that out there, haha!
