Hello Berries!
[name_f][/name_f]This is a very late announcement but I thought I’d do it anyway! It’s so fun to be posting here after having made my Nameberry account as a teenager and lurking/posting on and off over the years
[name_f]My[/name_f] daughter, Z3lda Grac3, was born the week before [name_m]Christmas[/name_m] after 28 hours of labor!
[name_f][/name_f]Z3lda was the one girl name my husband and I could agree on and we immediately loved it for the sound and the meaning- “battle maiden” or “brave warrior woman” depending on where you look! [name_f]My[/name_f] husband had a [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] school teacher named [name_f]Zerelda[/name_f] when he was growing up and loved her name, in addition to being a fan of the [name_m]Legend[/name_m] of Z3lda games, so he was the one that suggested Z3lda as a shortened version of [name_f]Zerelda[/name_f]. I happened to have added the name to my list a couple days before he suggested it and I loved the name’s vintage, flapper girl sound á la Z3lda [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m].
[name_f][/name_f]Grac3 is my sister’s name, so we wanted to honor her and liked the grounded sound that Grac3 brought to the name.
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Baby[/name_f] girl is thriving and living up to the meaning of her name already! We’ve gotten lots of compliments on her name and many [name_m]Legend[/name_m] of Z3lda references, which bothered me a bit at first since she’s not technically named after the princess, but it’s definitely not a bad character to be associated with! We are absolutely in love with our baby girl and her name
