I originally said I wanted a tomboyish name for [name]Ivy[/name], which is why my husband and I love [name]Sterling[/name]. I think it is really cute and unique for a middle spot! [name]Luisa[/name] has much more meaning to us. Botth of our grandmothers have the name [name]Louise[/name], so its a bit of a subtle tribute. My favorite writer is [name]Louisa[/name] [name]May[/name] [name]Alcott[/name]. And the spelling[name]Luisa[/name] is off [name]German[/name], Polish and Italian origin which fits us perfectly.
So its a hard choice… spunky cute and original, or meaningful and cutesy?
Our other namea we have picked out and [name]LOVE[/name] are
I would have to vote [name]Luisa[/name] all the way because it fits your criteria to a T. It has the tomboyish element in [name]Lou[/name], it has the femininity that I think enhances it with [name]Ivy[/name] and it honours family.
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Luisa[/name] (I prefer [name]Louisa[/name] though).
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Luisa[/name] for sure! It’s spunky and classic all rolled into one! [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Sterling[/name] are both words so the combo sounds like a description of a THING rather than a [name]PERSON[/name]'s name.
OH pick [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Luisa[/name] (I do like [name]Louisa[/name] better, but see why you like [name]Luisa[/name]) [name]How[/name] cute would it be to call her [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Lou[/name]? So adorable! And the honoring of your grandmothers is lovely. I like it much better because of that.
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Luisa[/name] is my choice! It sounds great and has meaning for you, which is really what we all want in a name.
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Sterling[/name] doesn’t sound very good together, in my opinion. They’re both 2 syllables with emphasis on the same syllable, plus, as someone else mentioned, they’re both word names.
Have you given any thought to [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Lou[/name]? I think that’s really cute, too.
I’m with everyone for [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Luisa[/name]! It’s so striking and sweet and I love its meaning for you. I do prefer [name]Louisa[/name], too, but [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Luisa[/name] is sweet and so much more meaningful.
I do like [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Sterling[/name], though, but I agree with the points against [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Sterling[/name] and the points for [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Luisa[/name]!
