[name]Thea[/name] is definitely my favorite! This is probably not what you want to hear, lol, but how are you saying it? I’ve heard [name]TAY[/name]-ah, [name]THAY[/name]-ah, and THEE-ah (with the “th” sound as in “the” not “they”). I like [name]Thea[/name] [name]Day[/name] but if you say it as [name]THAY[/name]-ah or [name]TAY[/name]-ah I don’t like the repeating “AY” sounds. [name]Thea[/name] [name]Ellary[/name] [name]Elin[/name] is really sweet!

Good luck!

Thank you for your comment! I think I am writing this correctly, but I am saying it “[name]THAY[/name]-ah” (starts like [name]Thayer[/name] ends in a “ah or a” like the end of [name]Arizona[/name]; it doesn’t end like the word [name]Day[/name] – not a hard A). Very best of luck with your adoption!!! All good wishes to you.

To me [name]Ellary[/name] & [name]Elin[/name] are too similar, so any combo with both of these is out.

I wouldn’t go with [name]Ellary[/name] given your criteria, for one it’s bound to get shortened to [name]Elle[/name], [name]Ella[/name] or [name]Ellie[/name] - it’s just inevitable. And you said that you don’t want nicknames and you don’t want common names, all of those nicknames are common too! Secondly, no offence but I don’t think it’s timeless and elegant. It seems trendy, unisex and the spelling seems creative. I do love the similar Welsh name [name]Eleri[/name] though, although that’s pronounced uh-LARE-ee.

[name]Mira[/name] and [name]Thea[/name] are both beautiful, but either could pose pronunciation problems. [name]Thea[/name] more so though I think. I say THEE-uh for example, you say [name]THAY[/name]-uh, and I’ve also heard [name]TAY[/name]-uh. I’m not sure which is the most natural pronunciation in your area, but here in the UK it would be THEE-uh. [name]Mira[/name] could get pronounced MEE-ruh or MYE-ruh I guess, although I think most people would say MEE-ruh. [name]Both[/name] [name]Mira[/name] and [name]Thea[/name] are on my own list so I adore them but just thought I’d make you aware of possible issues since you stated that you didn’t want people to struggle with her name.

I do kind of think [name]Ellary[/name] and [name]Elin[/name] are too similar, but I guess with the way you’re pronouncing [name]Elin[/name] they’re not as close in sound. I think [name]Day[/name] is cool but sounds too abrupt in the first middle slot. I’d prefer [name]Mira[/name] [name]Elin[/name] [name]Day[/name] or [name]Thea[/name] [name]Elin[/name] [name]Day[/name] - of the two, I think [name]Mira[/name] [name]Elin[/name] flows better.

But my fave combos would have to be:

[name]Mira[/name] [name]Ellary[/name] [name]Elin[/name]
[name]Thea[/name] [name]Ellary[/name] [name]Elin[/name]

Best of luck
