[name_m]Bastian[/name_m] is not too nickname-y in my opinion, but my little cousin [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] goes by Basty or [name_m]Bas[/name_m] ([name_m]BAZ[/name_m]), so as long as it is enforced from the beginning, a [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] wouldn’t necessarily be a [name_m]Seb[/name_m]. [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] just feels a bit middle-name, but I think that’s just me. So go with [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] if you love it!

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is my favorite.

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], hands down.

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is very handsome!

I love [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], so handsome. [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] is a great nickname and I don’t think it would be hard to enforce over [name_m]Seb[/name_m].

I don’t think a [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] would necessarily have to be [name_m]Seb[/name_m]. In fact, I’ve never even heard of a [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] going by [name_m]Seb[/name_m], and it never would have occurred to me. Of course, your little man can pick what he wants when he gets older, but if you insist on a certain nickname from the beginning, others will follow suit. I have a brother who is [name_u]James[/name_u], just [name_u]James[/name_u], never [name_m]Jim[/name_m] or [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] – and a brother in law [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], who is never [name_m]Jake[/name_m]. For [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], you could use [name_m]Ian[/name_m] or [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] as nns. I wouldn’t use it as a given first name because I’ve seen many, many comments from people saying that it reminds them of the word, “bastard.”
