This name has really grown on me for a girl. I know in the past I didn’t like boy names on girls, but now some of them have grown on me. What are your thoughts on [name_u]Finley[/name_u] for a girl? And any middle name suggestions are welcome, right now I have:
I think [name_u]Finley[/name_u] is quite unisex at the moment, though I personally prefer [name_f]Fionnuala[/name_f] ‘’[name_u]Finn[/name_u]‘’, [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] ‘’[name_u]Finn[/name_u]‘’ or [name_f]Francine[/name_f] ‘’[name_u]Finn[/name_u]‘’ for a girl. [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] also has a similar vibe.
I like [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]! I dont think L middle names sound good with [name_u]Finley[/name_u]. Maybe [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_u]Day[/name_u], [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_f]Hope[/name_f], [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f], [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] or [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]
It’s not my personal style but I definitely prefer Finley on a girl than a boy! I like Finn for a boy, but not Finley. I think pairing it with a feminine middle is the best way to go. I like Finley Louise but am not a big fan of Finley-Lou. Jean is nice too, but a little dated.
Finley Amelia
Finley Emma
Finley Jane
Finley Juliet
Finley June
Finley Maeve - my favorite!
Finley Paige
Finley Rose
I like [name_u]Finley[/name_u] on a girl but prefer it on a boy! I associate the nn [name_u]Finn[/name_u] with a boy but really want to like it on a girl!
I’m not a fan of [name_u]Finley[/name_u] on a girl. I’m Irish so it’s all boy to me and I struggle to imagine it on a girl. BNOG aren’t my thing in general too.
I’d use a feminine middle name so I’d choose [name_u]Louise[/name_u] out of your options seeing as [name_u]Lou[/name_u] and [name_u]Jean[/name_u]/Gene are unisex.
I’ve never met a boy with the name [name_u]Finley[/name_u], only a girl, so to me, I see it lean towards the girl side. I think it’s pretty cute especially with the mn’s [name_u]Louise[/name_u] and [name_u]Jean[/name_u].
Definitely feels sort of country tomboyish for a girl. Maybe Im just thinking of [name_m]Huckleberry[/name_m] [name_u]Finn[/name_u]. I just don’t see it as very elegant. The -lee sounding ending makes it fine for a girl.
I love [name_u]Finley[/name_u], [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_u]Emery[/name_u] for girls and I’d never consider using them on boys. But that’s my personal opinion. Have [name_u]Avery[/name_u] and [name_u]Emery[/name_u] on our girls list. With [name_f]Grace[/name_f] as the middle name.
With a unisex name I prefer a feminine middle name, so [name_u]Finley[/name_u]
Mae
[name_u]Louise[/name_u]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
I think [name_u]Finley[/name_u] is very sweet on a girl! [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite of your combos is [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]–I love the idea of [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_u]Louise[/name_u], but find the repeated “L” sounds a little bit difficult in terms of flow. It’s growing on me the more I think about it, though! I love the previous suggestions of [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f], and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] (my favorite!). Maybe:
I LOVE boyish names for girls but this one just never grew on me, sorry.
Though I did recently have a cousin that just had a [name_u]Finley[/name_u] (g) and her name is [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], which I thought was a cute combo
I actually like [name_u]Finley[/name_u] better on a girl. [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_u]Lou[/name_u] are both sweet. Some other suggestions are:
[name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
[name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f]
[name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_f]Esther[/name_f]
Ones already mentioned that I like are:
[name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
I like it a lot! It’s definitely more of a girls name to me then a boys name. [name_u]Finley[/name_u]-[name_u]Lou[/name_u] doesn’t sound quite right, but I absolutely love Finny-[name_u]Lou[/name_u] as a nickname for [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_u]Louise[/name_u].
