Finn Robin Baker

Does this name work? We’re both keen but would like to hear opinions. Is it masculine enough? Thanks!

Yes, it does work. I’m assuming [name_m]Baker[/name_m] is the last name so he’ll will be known as [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Baker[/name_m] which works well. [name_u]Robin[/name_u] is unisex leaning to the girls side I think, but we seldom say our middle names in real life, and we don’t even know most of our acquaintances’ middle names as they are mostly only used on paperwork. I vote that you go for it!

[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! I think of [name_u]Robin[/name_u] as pretty equally male and female, and I think it works with [name_u]Finn[/name_u] very well

I love [name_u]Finn[/name_u]! [name_u]Robin[/name_u] is definitely feminine in my opinion, but as a MN it works perfectly fine. I’d prefer [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] and it is a stronger name, imo. However, [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] [name_m]Baker[/name_m] is a perfectly respectable name! Good luck!

Thanks! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] sounds a bit fuller? I like [name_m]Robert[/name_m] too but DH not too keen.

For me [name_u]Robin[/name_u] is more masculine (it is only masculine in my country). I don’t like [name_u]Finley[/name_u].
[name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] [name_m]Baker[/name_m] works perfectly and I love how the names flow together, good choice!

Ooh! I love it!

[name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Baker[/name_m] sounds great!

I adore [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_u]Finlay[/name_u]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]. I personally do not care for [name_u]Robin[/name_u] for either gender. There is an unpleasant story related to a poor girl named [name_u]Robin[/name_u].

[name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] sounds good to me. I’ve a female cousin called [name_u]Robin[/name_u] but I still see it as working for either gender. [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Baker[/name_m] sounds perfectly nice too.

I work with a female [name_u]Robin[/name_u] and went to school with a male [name_u]Robin[/name_u] so while it’s unisex, I think it leans more toward feminine.

I think [name_u]Finley[/name_u] sounds more complete and I like [name_m]Robert[/name_m] better than [name_u]Robin[/name_u].

I love [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] [name_m]Baker[/name_m], what a great name! I don’t care for [name_u]Finley[/name_u], go with [name_u]Finn[/name_u], it’s a complete name by itself and sounds wonderful with your surname.

Well its three words and the first and second name end the same letter and the middle of the middle name has the same sound strongly as the beginning of the first name and since you have the repeating n you get
( f)in-ro-bin-ba-ker so theres a repetitiveness to it oddly [name_u]Robin[/name_u] [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Baker[/name_m] bothers me less, though its also not ideal. Changing fin to [name_u]Finley[/name_u] would definitely diminish a lot of the repetitivness and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] [name_m]Baker[/name_m] is better as well, stronger, like more solid with the Dual syllable name as well. As far as manliness is concerned it would depend what you meant by that but I think they’re just fine on a boy if you choose this combination…

It’s a beautiful name!
If you’re concerned about masculinity, [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_u]Finley[/name_u] and [name_u]Robin[/name_u] to me are all unisex and I can picture them on boys as well as girls. We gave our son a unisex name ([name_u]Sage[/name_u],) so I suggest you check the numbers trough Social Security to see if your chosen names are currently or historically given to more girls than boys.
In our case, [name_u]Sage[/name_u] was more popular for girls, but we went with it anyway knowingly - only ever gotten compliments.
Fwiw, I know male and female Finns, Finleys and [name_m]Robins[/name_m], so they don’t lean any particular way for me.

I think [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] [name_m]Baker[/name_m] is a wonderful name! I actually prefer [name_u]Finn[/name_u] over [name_u]Finley[/name_u] in your case, as [name_u]Finn[/name_u] seems more masculine to me! Crazy, I know ;). [name_u]Robin[/name_u] is a lovely middle, I much prefer it on a boy then a girl!
I think you’ve got yourself a great name! All the best.

I think [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Baker[/name_m] is a really cool name. I much prefer [name_u]Finn[/name_u] over [name_u]Finley[/name_u]. I don’t mind [name_u]Robin[/name_u] in the middle, though I prefer [name_m]Robert[/name_m].

[name_m]Rufus[/name_m], [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] or [name_m]Reuben[/name_m] in the middle?

[name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Baker[/name_m] and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Baker[/name_m] both sound perfect, it’s a matter of what you and your husband wan’t in the name in order to choose. I used to abide by the rule where you name your child what you’re going to call him/her everyday… but when we had [name_m]Bernard[/name_m], we tried, but couldn’t resist the adorable [name_u]Bernie[/name_u]. My husband also used to call him little [name_m]Bear[/name_m].

I’m the mom of a boy [name_u]Robin[/name_u] and yeah, it hasn’t been easy at times, especially when he was younger. It’s not the kids that make “ooh, that’s a girl name!” comments, you’d be surprised in finding out it’s adults. [name_u]Robin[/name_u] is a name that I would have used if my child were boy or girl, because my husband and I both loved it so much. I think [name_u]Robin[/name_u] sounds marvelous as a middle name for [name_u]Finn[/name_u] or [name_u]Finley[/name_u] and am glad that you’re planning on using it.

[name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] [name_m]Baker[/name_m] is a fantastic name! I love it! I really like [name_u]Robin[/name_u] for a boy. I prefer it more on a boy than a girl. [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is also boyish/manly to me. I don’t think you have anything to worry about naming your son [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Baker[/name_m]!

I think it’s perfect!

I like [name_u]Finn[/name_u] better than [name_u]Finley[/name_u]. And I think [name_u]Robin[/name_u] works great for a boy, [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] [name_m]Baker[/name_m] sounds perfect.
