Which one would you pick and why?
Fiona (fee-O-na)
Fiadh (FEE-a)
Fia (FEE-a)
Fianna (FEE-uh-na)
Fiadh is Irish for “wild, untamed” and “deer”, Fia is modern Irish for the same words.
Fianna is Irish for “band of warriors” but wouldn’t use it due to a political party bearing the name.

[name_f]Fiona[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] reasoning is pretty superficial, I just like the sound of it better — it’s softened by the oh sound, which balances out the strong intro. I used to honestly dislike this name as I associated it with Shrek, but after actually meeting a [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] I grew to LOVE it.

they’re all nice names, but fiona has my favourite sound! plus, you can get fia from it as a nickname, so it’s the best of both worlds.

I’d pick [name_f]Fia[/name_f], I like the sound the best and I prefer a simplified spelling

I just saw this same post somewhere else. I love love [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] so that would be my pick but lately ive been loving [name_f]Fia[/name_f] also. I’d use this spelling if in the US, because its just easier to pronounce. [name_f]Fianna[/name_f] is interesting and ive never heard of the political party. I still like [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] more though.

[name_f]Fia[/name_f] would be my choice. So easy to spell and it looks pretty too! I realize it is a nn for [name_f]Sofia[/name_f], however, standing alone it is royalty. [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f]!

[name_f]Fianna[/name_f] with the possibility of nicknaming [name_f]Fia[/name_f].

I’m very keen to the pronounciation of it and I say it like (fee-AH-na) which is a bit different than how you’ve written your pronounciation of it. but I just think [name_f]Fianna[/name_f] sounds soft, breathy, and not too much or too little girly

[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] (though not common per se) is heard more around me and for that reason alone it has lost some of it’s charm to me when compared with [name_f]Fianna[/name_f] and [name_f]Fia[/name_f]

unlike [name_f]Fia[/name_f], which is my next choice, it is truly long enough/“complete enough” looking
my order of preference would have to be [name_f]Fianna[/name_f] > [name_f]Fia[/name_f] > [name_f]Fiadh[/name_f] > [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]
