Thoughts on [name_f]Fiora[/name_f]? I am having a spring baby and thinking it might make a cool middle name since it means “little flower.”
I think [name_f]Fiora[/name_f] is a cute name! It reminds me of a less popular version of [name_f]Fiona[/name_f].
THIS IS A GREAT NAME!
I’m actually putting it on my list behind our top 3 (no worries, we hope to have boys too so it’s unlikely to get used!) What are you thinking for middles?
Oh cool! It’s very uncommon. I like [name_f]Fiora[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] . I will most likely use it as a middle though; possibly [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Fiora[/name_f] but not sure yet.
I think it’d be a great middle! Could also work as a first but would probably get confused with [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f].
Agree - that’s my hesitation!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Fiora[/name_f] - it’s got flair and sparkle
HI! For Nameberries [name_f]Fiora[/name_f] is an Italian name meaning flower, but the real word is [name_u]Fiore[/name_u], which I prefer. I think [name_f]Fiora[/name_f] is actually a variant for girls because in Italian [name_u]Fiore[/name_u] is masculine. In [name_f]Italy[/name_f] I have never heard a [name_f]Fiora[/name_f], so I don’t know if it is very rare or if it doesn’t exist at all (:
However, [name_f]Flora[/name_f] is absolutely my favorite!
[name_f]Fiora[/name_f] is so beautiful!
Oh Interesting, thanks for this insight! yeah, it seems like sort of a non-existent name? I also saw on some sites its Gaelic origin as well?
Yeah, [name_f]Fiora[/name_f] could be a variant of [name_f]Fiona[/name_f].
I did some researches on italian names websites and I found out that [name_f]Fiora[/name_f] actually exists as variant of [name_u]Fiore[/name_u] (the word referring to the flower is masculin, but the name can be unisex). It’s also a short form of other floral name like [name_f]Fiorenza[/name_f] and [name_f]Fiorella[/name_f]. So, go with [name_f]Fiora[/name_f]!
[name_f]Fiora[/name_f] is lovely! Rare but easily wearable.
It’s not my personal taste but defs cool and usable, and I love the meaning for a spring baby. [name_f]My[/name_f] brain does automatically go to the drink kia-ora.
[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! [name_f]Fiora[/name_f] exists as an Italian name but it is very rare
Femenine:
: [name_f]Fiora[/name_f]
I think it’s a cool middle
It sounds a bit weird to me as an Italian, I’m pretty sure it’s a misspell of the Italian word “fiore” which means flower.
I prefer [name_f]Flora[/name_f].
We also have [name_f]Floriana[/name_f] and [name_f]Florenza[/name_f] for girls.
I like it. [name_f]Pretty[/name_f]. I don’t like [name_f]Flora[/name_f] at all as it reminds me of a margarine produced in the UK named [name_f]Flora[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Fiora[/name_f] is distinctive enough not to be confused with similar names.
