First Name For Molly?

This is similar to my last post, but my husband and I have decided we would like our baby, if it is a girl, to have [name_f]Molly[/name_f] as her middle name. However, we’re finding it very difficult to find something that flows well. We are looking for a name easy to pronounce in [name_f]English[/name_f] and Spanish, and bonus points if it is Irish (doesn’t have to be, just something I would love, but [name_f]Molly[/name_f] is Irish enough if not possible). Our last name is Gonzalez, so I am hoping it will flow with that as well.

Thank you!!

Fiadh [name_f]Molly[/name_f] (or maybe [name_f]Fia[/name_f], which would probably be more intuitive in [name_f]English[/name_f] and Spanish)
[name_f]Ciara[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_f]Tara[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_f]Brianna[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_f]Erin[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_f]Kiera[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_u]Mirin[/name_u]/Mirren [name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_u]Tiernan[/name_u] [name_f]Molly[/name_f]

I found [name_u]Fiadh[/name_u] yesterday, and I cannot stop thinking about it! I think I would use [name_f]Fia[/name_f] for pronunciation purposes, but then I run into a problem. I feel as though [name_f]Fia[/name_f] may be too short of a name, and what other name is it a perfect nn for other than [name_f]Sofia[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] I give into the popularity of [name_f]Sofia[/name_f], or stick with [name_f]Fia[/name_f]? [name_f]Brianna[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] are lovely, but they are already family names. I love [name_f]Ciara[/name_f] and [name_u]Tiernan[/name_u] as well, but [name_f]Fia[/name_f]/Sofia is more of my husband’s style.

I think [name_f]Fia[/name_f] works just fine as a full name! I think, especially with the middle name [name_f]Molly[/name_f] and your last name, it sounds wonderful. It doesn’t even sound especially nicknamey!

Fiadh [name_f]Molly[/name_f] is so darling.

I prefer the traditional Irish spelling, but wouldn’t find it a bother to see the ‘dh’ dropped to [name_f]Fia[/name_f] on birthday cards and the like.

Alanna (I think I would use [name_f]Alannah[/name_f] as it looks more Irish to me) and [name_f]Elena[/name_f] are two of my favorites! I made the mistake of saying I liked the name [name_f]Elena[/name_f] in front of family and they blatantly told me they hated it, so I could probably never use it lol. Maybe [name_f]Helena[/name_f], as it would honor some family but it isn’t a repeat name. Thank you!

Liliana is also my back-up middle name!

Orla is one of my favorites but my husband hates it ;( I love the golden princess meaning! I love [name_f]Adelina[/name_f]! Thank you!

I do love the [name_u]Fiadh[/name_u] spelling. I agree it wouldn’t bother me to see others drop the dh, but I do have some very very judgmental family members and I would hate for my daughter’s name to be the butt of any joke among them. It’s unfortunate but I just have to live with it I guess. And my husband’s immediate family who speak little [name_f]English[/name_f] would probably have a very hard time understanding the [name_u]Fiadh[/name_u] spelling (he swears they will never pronounce it correct)

Angelina [name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_f]Christina[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_u]Maria[/name_u] [name_f]Molly[/name_f] (this is cute in my head but might not appeal to you…)
[name_f]Camilla[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f]

Fiona, [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f], [name_f]Felicia[/name_f] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]/ [name_f]Josefina[/name_f] could all work to get to the nickname [name_f]Fia[/name_f]!

Christina is one of my husband’s favorites. I just don’t know if it’s my style (I don’t know if it really holds up for newborns right now, but just my opinion!)

As for your other suggestions, I love [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] and [name_f]Camilla[/name_f]! I think I prefer [name_f]Camila[/name_f], but they’re both gorgeous!

Maria [name_f]Molly[/name_f] is very cute, and would honor many family members on both sides, but the name just doesn’t seem current in my opinion. Thank you so much!!

I love [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband does not :frowning: He is definitely very picky!

Josephine/Josefina is unusable because of my husband’s ex, but they are soo pretty.

I was actually almost a [name_f]Felicia[/name_f] myself, and I love [name_f]Fia[/name_f] as a nn! Thank you!!
