First name to go with middle name Harrison?

Got any suggestions?

We definitely want [name]Harrison[/name] for the middle name since it has special meaning for us, but can’t decide on a first. Our last name starts with a B and is two syllables. We have two daughters, [name]Gigi[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Almira[/name].

We both really like [name]Burke[/name], but I worry about using it because of the negative association in the UK. We also like [name]Miles[/name], but aren’t completely sold on it. I also like names that end in -er like [name]Parker[/name] and [name]Carter[/name] but hubby doesn’t like those specific names. Also, we both really like [name]Brooks[/name] but can’t use it since our new nephew was given that name.

I misunderstood your question initially. So you want the middle name Harrison with your two syllable B-starting last name? First, I’d go with a one syllable first name to balance things out with a 1-3-2 full name syllable count. Second, I’d nix any repeating initials such H or B. What do you think of the following:

Clay Harrison B-
Flynn Harrison B-
Nash Harrison B-
Ray Harrison B-
Rex Harrison B-
Ross Harrison B-
Van Harrison B-

Although Rex Harrison was a famous movie star, much time has passed since his glory days.

[name]Harrison[/name] [name]Cole[/name] B
[name]Harrison[/name] [name]Jude[/name] B
[name]Harrison[/name] [name]Gage[/name] B

[name]Cruise[/name]/[name]Cruz[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Alexander[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Jack[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Zachary[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Josiah[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Timothy[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Joel[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
Tage [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Neil[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Denzel[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Damon[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]

(I think the reason that you can’t settle on [name]Miles[/name] is that with [name]Harrison[/name] it is too ‘s’ heavy.

Thank you for all the suggestions!

I think you’re right on [name]Miles[/name] [name]Harrison[/name] being too ‘s’ heavy. I kind of like the [name]Milo[/name] suggestion as a variation of that so I’ll suggest it to my husband. Our last name end with an ‘i’ sound, if that helps.

I really like [name]Everett[/name], [name]Dermot[/name], [name]Booker[/name], [name]Keats[/name], [name]Archer[/name] and [name]Cruise[/name]/[name]Cruz[/name]. Is [name]Rhys[/name] pronounced like [name]Reese[/name]? I also really like [name]Damon[/name], but does it work with [name]Harrison[/name] because of the ‘on’ endings?

Thanks again for the suggestions. Any more would be great!

[name]Milo[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Liam[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Dane[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Dean[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Cole[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Nico[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Teague[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Troy[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Thayer[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Wyatt[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]

You have a point, so if you want the best flow it won’t work perfectly, if however, you fall in love with it then go for it!

A friend of mine has a [name]Sidney[/name] [name]Harrison[/name] and I just love his name! [name]Just[/name] turned two and they call him “[name]Sid[/name]”.

I think [name]Harrison[/name] would be great as the first name! Yes [name]Rhys[/name] is prn [name]Reese[/name]. So many great suggestions. Not sure I can add to that.
