Is [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]/[name_m]Fischer[/name_m] an acceptable name? And does spelling [name_m]Fischer[/name_m] make it seem less Fisherman like??

I like it and think its definitely acceptable. I would go with [name_m]Fisher[/name_m] since I think that’s how most people will assume it’s spelled.

Adding a letter does not get rid of the connection to fishermen. That is, after all, the origin of the name. Use [name_m]Fisher[/name_m].

It is an acceptable first name, although I don’t care for it personally, I would spell it [name_m]Fisher[/name_m].
