Fitzgerald

[name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m] is my maiden name and I would love to somehow use it for a first or middle name for baby girl… any ideas of names that sound like it and arent too far off or something (like not just using any name that starts with F)

I think [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m] would make a great middle

Geraldine came to mind

Are you in [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] or [name_u]Scotland[/name_u]? It might even be able to pass in [name_u]Germany[/name_u], [name_u]Sweden[/name_u], or another country that speaks [name_m]German[/name_m]. If so, it can work in first or middle. If not, only in middle.

Usa

Fitzgerald as MN would be a cool namesake!

In that case, I would out it in the middle name spot.

Geraldine, [name_f]Geraldina[/name_f], [name_f]Geralda[/name_f] as a first otherwise keep it as a middle

My mom’s maiden name is mine, both my sisters’, and my brother’s middle name. She says it sounds “presidential”.

I think yours works well in the middle spot- more so than my mom’s. Definitely go for it. I’d love to have [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m] as my middle name!

I agree with the previous posters! I’d just simply use it as-is in the middle spot. I would’ve loved to have my mothers maiden name as a mn. I plan to pass my maiden name on as a mn one day too!

Seconding [name_f]Geraldine[/name_f]!

Like some of the previous posters, I would suggest [name_f]Geraldine[/name_f] (I really like this name) or [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m] in the middle name spot.

Love [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m] or even just [name_m]Fitz[/name_m] as a middle name for a girl! As well as being your maiden name, it’s also a nod to the iconic [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m] :notes: A great strong female namesake!

Scott? [name_f]Zelda[/name_f]? [name_u]Jay[/name_u]? [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]? [name_f]Geraldine[/name_f]?

I actually think [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m] would be lovely! [name_f]My[/name_f] middle name is also my mom’s maiden name. You might get some questions about how you picked her middle, but I’ve gotten nothing but positive comments. It’s such a sweet namesake to have!

Fitzgerald [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] or [name_u]Loni[/name_u] [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m]

I would absolutely use it as a middle name! In my country we all have two surnames (maternal + paternal surname).
What about [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] (fitzgERALD)?

I love the name [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m] for a first name for a boy. I’ve never considered it for a girl though. I think it could work for a girl, but I tend to like “boy names” on girls.

Since it’s your maiden name, I feel like using the actual name is special instead of a name that’s similar to it. I like the idea of using it as a middle name.
