I feel like every so often on here, there are threads from people saying “I like [name]Tillie[/name], but don’t like [name]Matilda[/name] or [name]Ottilie[/name]. What else can [name]Tillie[/name] be a nn for?”. While there are plenty of other suggestions, today I was looking at my box of tea and saw “tilia leaves”.
Turns out, tilia is a genus of lovely trees. SO, Tilia as a nature name might work nicely. What do you think? I like the sound!
I have nothing against [name]Tillie[/name] on its own by the way for those that like nickname names. I don’t love nickname names but [name]Tillie[/name] is one of the better ones. But for those who would like something, here you go.
You don’t know how excited I got when I saw your title, haha. I love [name]Tilly[/name], but am not really a fan of [name]Ottilie[/name], and while I like [name]Matilda[/name], I don’t really feel like it’s “me”, if that makes sense. But then I saw what you were proposing, and I wasn’t so excited anymore, haha. I think it’s a great idea, and I’ve even come across the name Tillia (a girls’ name from Ancient [name]Rome[/name], from what I remember?) for a writing project I had been interested in several months ago. I like it for [name]Tilly[/name], but I don’t really love the name itself.
Hopefully somebody else does, though, [name]Tilly[/name]'s adorable and Tilia is nice, just not for me.
Aww, that would be cute! Especially since [name]Liliana[/name] [name]Odette[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] is my combo. Except for the fact that I’m 100% sure I’d call her [name]Lily[/name], the last gift my grandmother gave me before she was laid to rest was this beautiful lily, so that’s the one (and, really only) thing I’m adamant about for my [name]Lily[/name] combo. Which essentially makes [name]Tilly[/name] unusable for me, I know, but still. I do love [name]Tilly[/name]. haha.
