[name_m]Forest[/name_m] is my preference - I generally like word names to be spelt like the word.

I prefer [name_m]Forest[/name_m]. More nature, less Gump.

I prefer [name_m]Forrest[/name_m], it looks less like a word and more like a name.

[name_m]Forrest[/name_m] is the established / popular way to spell the name so I would go with that.

I think there is one celebrity that uses [name_m]Forest[/name_m] but it’s definitely the alternate spelling.

I always vote for the most common/established/oldest spelling of names.

I prefer [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] because it like to keep the word name and the actual name from having the same spelling and because of [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] Gump.

I prefer [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] - no reason other than it looks right, more like a name, if that makes sense. I so wish I could use this name - I think it’s so handsome and outdoorsy but it’s the name of the local football team… I just couldn’t do that. Maybe if/when I move! x

[name_m]Forrest[/name_m] is just confusing for a child to spell as it is so close but not quite the same. [name_m]Forest[/name_m] looks right.

Hmmm… I thought this would be more helpful but it seems kinda split.

I like them equally.
[name_m]Forrest[/name_m] because it’s the traditional spelling of the name.

[name_m]Forest[/name_m] because it makes more sense, especially to people who may have never heard the name “[name_m]Forrest[/name_m]” and think you just added that extra “R” for funsies.
Plus I just think [name_m]Forest[/name_m] looks nicer.

I bet I’ll end up ditching this name just for the spelling confusion.

Hey chloe! Which do your reckon looks better with your other littles’ names?

I would probably go [name_m]Forrest[/name_m]

[name_m]Forrest[/name_m] looks more name-like to me.

This poll reminds me of the names [name_m]Ernest[/name_m] and [name_m]Earnest[/name_m] – where [name_m]Earnest[/name_m] is the correct way to spell the word, but [name_m]Ernest[/name_m] is how it’s usually spelled when it’s a name. Much like [name_m]Forest[/name_m] and [name_m]Forrest[/name_m].

Anyway, I voted for [name_m]Forest[/name_m], one r. I agree with some of the previous posters that [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] looks more like a name, but [name_m]Forest[/name_m] is more genuine to me and I would love to keep the nature association as intact as possible.

[name_m]How[/name_m] do you feel about [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] Gump? That movie could have some weight on which spelling you prefer too. If you don’t like the movie or just don’t want your child to be associated with it, go with one r.
