[name]Hi[/name]! Wow : D! This certainly is a big expansion! [name]How[/name] exciting for you : D! Really like [name]Myla[/name] and [name]Ash[/name]'s names, by the way.
On your girls names:
[name]Violet[/name]: This is beautiful and my favorite from your list. However, I find it sounds sort of like [name]Myla[/name]! [name]Do[/name] you really emphasize the o part? It could be different enoughā¦I know the beginning and end are different⦠but that -il thing gives me pause. The T in [name]Violet[/name] is often kind of quiet, and M and V are both made using the front of the mouth. More distinct but sort of similar might be: [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Vivian[/name]/[name]Vivienne[/name], [name]Verena[/name], [name]Vera[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name], [name]Iris[/name].
[name]Tayla[/name]: This is pretty, but again, feels kind of close to [name]Myla[/name] - 4 sounds, long vowel, -la. I kind of think people will hear this name and think sheās [name]Taylor[/name] or [name]Kayla[/name] or [name]Layla[/name]. It feels like it has less history than [name]Myla[/name]. Some similar names might be: [name]Layla[/name] (still feels very close to [name]Myla[/name], but people will not think itās a different name, has a history like [name]Myla[/name]), [name]Talia[/name] (also see [name]Dahlia[/name] above : D), [name]Tessa[/name].
[name]Adison[/name]/[name]Addison[/name]: Wins points for being far away from [name]Myla[/name], but starts with the same letter as [name]Asher[/name]! Not that you canāt do that, but with so many names out there, itās nice to mix it up! Feels much more āname of this secondā than [name]Violet[/name], [name]Tayla[/name], or [name]Myla[/name]. I think this name has a real chance to go dated soon if that matters to you. Also, while itās clearly feminine for me, it is a little uni and it sounds boyish next to [name]Myla[/name]. What about: [name]Adelaide[/name], [name]Adele[/name], [name]Adeline[/name], [name]Madeline[/name], [name]Aveline[/name], [name]Evelyn[/name] (feels a little 1950s-but-ready-to-come-back like [name]Myla[/name], to me, and [name]Evie[/name] is as in as [name]Addie[/name] right now), [name]Emmaline[/name], [name]Caroline[/name] (some of these still have the A, of courseā¦).
Now to the boys: Most of these are great to my ears! I do prefer [name]Andrew[/name] for a fuller name for [name]Drew[/name] if you like it enough, although it is also good to stay away from two A names if you can manage it, so [name]Drew[/name] deserves consideration. What about [name]Jude[/name] or [name]Luke[/name] for 1-syll names with an ew/u/oo sound? Also, Maxson is the [name]Adison[/name] of the boysā group here - [name]Max[/name] is very trendy, but great ā if you want to use him, [name]Maxwell[/name] or [name]Maximilian[/name] or even [name]Maxfield[/name] or [name]Maximus[/name] feels much more grounded than Maxson (that x + s just seems confusing). He just doesnāt seem to fit in with the other more grounded boys names. Heās kind of in neutrally English/bordering-on-surname-but-also-not- territory with [name]Reid[/name]ā¦and even [name]Asher[/name], with that -er. What about [name]Rafferty[/name], [name]Finnegan[/name], [name]Davis[/name], [name]Jackson[/name]? Again, [name]Max[/name]'d heās another M name with [name]Myla[/name]ā¦understand if you donāt care.
[name]Shane[/name], [name]Collin[/name] (I prefer [name]Colin[/name]) and [name]Rhys[/name] are a grounded Celtic set! : D. And [name]Owen[/name] could swap in here! Although itās a lot of names ending in -n (again, not the worst, but nice to avoid if you can). [name]Shane[/name] and [name]Ash[/name] kind of overlap a little to my ear, but itās OK. The only thing is is that [name]Asher[/name] is kind of alone then in having a Biblical name if you go with all Celtic names. [name]John[/name] and [name]Nathan[/name] and [name]Andrew[/name] would all fill that roleā¦while still feeling different enough (feeling more English vs. more Hebrew in language). [name]Nathan[/name] feels the closest to [name]Asher[/name] in being āinā right now. Other Biblical names that are trending up include [name]Jude[/name] (mentioned earlier), [name]Caleb[/name], [name]Eli[/name], [name]Ethan[/name], [name]Levi[/name] and of course [name]Jacob[/name] is number one or near right now.
All best!
