I tried posting this on reddit first but i was just bullied by grown adults saying i won’t be able to use the baby names i like because my partner probably won’t like them so here i am keep in mind im sixteen AND this post is just for fun i don’t want to cry for the second time today considering it’s only 9am… please be kinder than the people over there. This really is just lighthearted and for fun
Anyways, I’ve always adored the names [name_f]Noelle[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. I’ve always said that these would be what i name my future daughters. For years, I’ve always said this.
Recently i was thinking about a fourth name (if i ever have) but im not as 100% on that name as with my first three. I was curious what people thought went good with my chosen names!
I like:
• [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]
• [name_f]Maxine[/name_f]
• [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f]
I don’t know what their problem is. These are not weird or bad names in any way.
Of your options, I like [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] best with [name_f]Noelle[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f].
Some others that I would consider with those are:
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Odette[/name_f]
[name_f]Celine[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] or [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
These are all wonderful names! And honestly well-liked in general, even if you just go by numbers, half of these are popular in the US & [name_f]Canada[/name_f] (where I assume you’re from, considering your time zone!)
I especially like [name_f]Maxine[/name_f], what an underrated name! [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] is really sweet too. I think [name_f]Francesca[/name_f], [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] & [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] all work with your 3 favourites, but if I had to choose one it’d be [name_f]Maxine[/name_f], and then [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]! Like I said, [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] works but it feels sliiightly different in style.
Some more ideas: [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Colette[/name_f], [name_f]Celeste[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]
I’m sorry people made you sad about your names. They are lovely and there is nothing wrong with dreaming about names.
I like [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] with your other names.
Other ideas:
[name_f]Cosette[/name_f]
[name_f]Ines[/name_f]
[name_f]Adele[/name_f]
[name_f]Roxanne[/name_f]
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Carolyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
Vivian/Vivienne
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
These names are great! I love [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] with [name_f]Noelle[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], but [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] is so pretty too!
other suggestions:
[name_f]Imogene[/name_f]
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Selene[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Helene[/name_f]
Francesca is a perfect match! Lavinia works but feels like a slightly different style, I’m not quite sure how to describe it but it doesn’t feel like it pairs quite as well to me. I like Maxine a lot but since it rhymes with Josephine it would be my last pick it you were looking for a fourth name to go with the others as a sister and not just expand the list to four choices. If you weren’t looking for the fourth name to match as sisters then I would maybe switch Maxine and Lavinia in my rankings.
Also, all six names are lovely and are all somewhere on my long list.
I’m sorry about the reaction you got on Reddit. Noelle, Genevieve, and Josephine are all wonderful names! I don’t understand the harshness you were met with, even if your future partner might not like them doesn’t mean you can’t dream of them. You might even get lucky and your partner will like them! My partner loves most of the names I came up with before him! No need for bullying.
With Noelle, Genevieve , and Josephine I love Francesca from your list!
I’d also suggest
Madeleine
Amelia
Vivienne
Charlotte
Some people need to get a life, what’s with bullying a teenager online because she shared some names she likes.
Btw one of my friends fell in love with a name when she was your age, when she met her husband he loved it too, that’s now their daughter’s name.
Thank you, i really needed to hear this💜 my own mom had a situation like this; she picked mine and my brothers names almost a decade before meeting my father and he liked the names too so that’s what we were named. Idk why people think it’s so unrealistic that I’ll find someone that agrees with me on my names
Oh no! I’m sorry you’ve had such a bad experience. Some people really need to work on themselves.
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] are all beautiful, and I think [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] would make a wonderful fourth.
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] & [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] are beautiful names, and reddit is the worst when it comes to discussing baby names. People just use the anonymity to be mean, sorry you had to go through that.
And for what its worth, I knew my first daughters name (and my second tbh) long before meeting my husband.
With your picks I like [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] and I’d suggest…
Geez, those aren’t unusual or unlikable names at all — they’re pretty and coherent, why would anyone say that xD
Style and sound wise, I feel like Maxine fits the list best? But my personal favorite is Lavinia. You can’t really go wrong!
Some that come to mind are Evelyne, Katherine/Catherine, Roseline and Francine.
Edit: I second Madeline.
Reddit can be so HARSH with name stuff! I don’t know why they get all huffy over some things. I’m sorry you had to deal with that!
I really love the names [name_f]Noelle[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. I think they are such great, classic girl names. Very beautiful.
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f] is what jumps out at me initially as fitting with the other names. It’s a longer, feminine, vintage name so I see it fitting the same vibe. I like [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] a lot as well, but it doesn’t feel as frilly as your first three names.
Sorry you received those comments! That’s never ok and I hope you feel much more welcome here! We’re happy to have you here!
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] are gorgeous and I love the [name_f]French[/name_f] vibes! I like [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] best in general but I feel like [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] might fit best due to the [name_f]French[/name_f] vibes? I think something like [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] or [name_f]Juliette[/name_f], [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f], or [name_f]Florence[/name_f] would also be really beautiful!
I’m so sorry about your sad experience on other forum. [name_f]Welcome[/name_f] to Nameberry! I hope that you feel safe to share your ideas and questions with us.
I love the names [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]! They’re enchanting. [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is timeless and elegant! Your favorite names are stunning.
I adore [name_f]Maxine[/name_f]. It’s powerful and sophisticated. [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] is a great idea for a 4th girl. It’s as lovely and gentle as your favorite choices. I’m not crazy about [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] but I know it is very appreciated in [name_f]Italy[/name_f], for example. It’s an international, traditional and surprising idea.
Honestly, I think a lot of people on Reddit are either trolls or haven’t been around children in about 15 years and have no idea what the actual trends are. There’s nothing wrong with a classic name like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] or [name_m]James[/name_m], but there is a lot wrong with treating every name less familiar than that as a bizarre choice that will get a kid bullied, because it’s just not true.
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] are absolutely gorgeous and right on trend. As someone who works with babies and young children, I’ve met one [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] (she was adorable), and no [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] or [name_f]Noelle[/name_f], but I have had a lot of similar names like [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f], [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. Which means that you are right on style but not picking the same names as everyone else.
As for the ones you’re considering, I think [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] is my favourite. It’s got the same familiar-but-with-a-twist vibe as [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], and it’s got a lot of energy and charm. [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] feels very lavender scented and antique to me and is also very pretty. I like [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] a lot, but I don’t know if [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] match quite as well style-wise as the others. However, they are all beautiful choices.
I LOVE [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] ! I think it is so underrated ! & I think it goes well with the other names you love . [name_f]My[/name_f] hestitation is that it has the same end as [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. So this would sway me to use [name_f]Francesca[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] for the nickname potential… Chessy , [name_f]Fran[/name_f] , Ness , [name_m]Frankie[/name_m] , [name_f]Annie[/name_f]
