Foxgloves are my favorite flower I was thinking about unusual floral names when this occurred to me. I think it does work in the middle spot, especially with a more conventional first name:
I would pair Foxglove with a first name that is, like you mentioned, more traditional and classic, preferably with a lot of vowels. That would balance out the clunky weight of Foxglove.
Or she could have two middle names, Foxglove could be one of them.
I think that Foxglove is perfectly quirky in the middle spot. [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] Foxglove (though I personally prefer the [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] spelling) in particular is really lovely.
A lot of the names listed in your signature would be gorgeous with it as well. [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] Foxglove, [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] Foxglove, [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] Foxglove, and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] Foxglove stand out. [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] Foxglove is incredibly spunky.
Awesome suggestions I also think [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] Foxglove is super spunky, but it seems like a little too much X. [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] Foxglove is probably my favorite so far. I love the idea of two middles: [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] Foxglove, anyone? Thanks for these great ideas <3
It’s gorgeous! Foxglove is just a spunky middle. [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] Foxglove is amazing, and if you thought there was too much X,
how about [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Ffion[/name_f]? It’s a Welsh name that means foxglove.
[name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] Foxglove is to die for!
I love quirky/interesting middle names. I also happen to love foxgloves. I don’t know if I like it as a middle name though. Not sure. Definitely interesting though.
YES!!!
I’ ve coveted Drusilda Foxglove for a VERY long time.Buuut many people remind me that Foxgloves are poisonous, beside that I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] it. I’ve been thinking of using [name_f]Peony[/name_f] Esclarmond for our daughter.
I do adore [name_f]Ffion[/name_f] as well, I sort of collect names of non-English languages that mean particular flowers. ([name_f]Ione[/name_f], [name_f]Jacinta[/name_f], etc.)
I would have said Foxglove was too direct for me, but [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] Foxglove is amazing. I also like [name_f]Katharine[/name_f] Foxglove?
I think it’s usable, it is an obscure floral name, but, I think it’s a well known flower, so it likely won’t cause people to scratch their heads in confusion when they see it, but I do prefer the option of [name_f]Ffion[/name_f], just because [name_f]Ffion[/name_f] feels like more of a name to me, but it"s down to personal preference if you like it, go for it!
Georgia[/name_f]]
I would definitely use it in the first spot! Either, it’s a cute name.
Another name that would be adorable is the real name name for Foxglove, Digitalis - very pretty!
Foxgloves are pretty flowers but with it containing ‘glove’, I don’t think it makes a good first name. It definitely would be better suited as a middle name.
From the names you listed in your sig, I really like [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] Foxglove and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] Foxglove.
Like the above, based on the fact it contains ‘glove’ I don’t like it. [name_f]Ffion[/name_f], which means foxglove, is a nicer alternative. However, it’s kind of unexpected to see it so I think it could be quite refreshing if she were to wear it well.
I like [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] Foxglove, [name_f]Lila[/name_f] Foxglove is spunky too.
Out of all of the suggestions I like [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] Foxglove the best, but it does remind me of poison. Seems like a [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] name
