Frances, Eleanor, Henry, & …

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries!

I have composed a list of my favorite girl names and am seeking your honest opinions about the names. Which one(s) goes best with [name_f]Frances[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], and [name_m]Henry[/name_m]? Some are family names, others are just favorites. Any and all opinions are welcome

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] (what are your favorite nn?)
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] nn [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]
[name_f]Augusta[/name_f] nn [name_u]Gussie[/name_u] or [name_f]Aggie[/name_f]
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Alberta[/name_f] nn Bertie/Birdie
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] nn [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Mary[/name_f]
[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]

So far, these are likely my favorite 3 combos:
[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u]
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u]
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u]

Thank you for all of your help

These are my favorites for you! I’ll try a few combos out!
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Alberta[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] isn’t my favorite with the others but I think it could work! I love the nn Lexa/Lexie for it!

You’re too kind, thank you! Loving some of the combos you’ve created.

[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is growing on me, but I feel like it’s a mouthful and needs a nn.

I like [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] best with the set – strong, simple, and classic.

[name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] is such a stunning combo! Very classic and feminine, and regal, too.

Thank you so much. [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] is one of my favorites. I’m just a little concerned that [name_f]Mary[/name_f] is too plain. Thoughts?

Rose, Amelia, Louisa, & Cecilia are my favorites! Arabella, Marguerite, and Alexandra are stunning as well if you don’t mind the name being a bit longer than your other children!

I immediately thought Rose Alexandra Louise would be so beautiful.

Other suggestions:

Rose Amelia Mary
Rose Alexandra Mary
Amelia Marguerite Rose
Cecilia Mary Louise
Louisa Rose Marguerite
Alexandra Mary Louisa

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] is darling :rose: thank you so much

I love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] with your sibset. What about [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u], [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u], or [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u]? From the combos you have, I also love [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u]. Good luck!

Yours are nice.

I love [name_f]Augusta[/name_f], [name_f]Alberta[/name_f], [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], and [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] too.

Honestly, I think [name_f]Mary[/name_f] would be rather unexpected for a girl born today! I don’t find her plain at all.

[name_f]My[/name_f] absolute favourite is [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]! So classy and elegant. It’s familiar without being as common as [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f].

I’m not a massive fan of [name_f]Theodora[/name_f], but I think the nickname [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is so sweet.

[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] is lovely, but a bit frilly/posh next to [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].

[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is spunky, and would give her lots of nickname options. [name_u]Lexie[/name_u] would be my favourite, but I like [name_u]Alex[/name_u] too.

I adore the name [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], but I don’t like [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] as the full name - feels outdated and plain. I do like [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] nn [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] though, or just [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] as a stand-alone name.

[name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are nice middle names, but have been overused so many times that I think they would be a too plain as first names. Maybe if you made them a double-barrel name? e.g. Mary-Alice, Alice-Rose, etc.

I’m not a fan of [name_f]Alberta[/name_f]. I think it’s clunky and old-fashioned, and I don’t like the nickname [name_u]Bertie[/name_u]. However, I think the nickname [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] is adorable!

[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] is nice, but I do prefer [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f].

[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] and [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] are gorgeous

That’s great to hear, thank you

Thank you so much!

I’m loving [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], and [name_u]Lexie[/name_u] is too sweet.

[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] is actually an honor name, after a beloved [name_m]Philip[/name_m]

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

[name_f]Frances[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_m]Henry[/name_m] are just lovely.

Here are my thoughts on the list:

Amelia-I love it! It’s my kitty’s name, so I’m a bit biased. :heart_eyes_cat: It’s the most perfect balance of vintage, smart, sweet, feminine but not fussy. And it’s perfect w/your sibling set.

Alice-This basically has all of the same qualities as [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. I don’t like it as much, but it’s still a great name. A bit less popular than [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], if that’s a concern at all.

Alexandra-It’s a fine name, but not my favorite. [name_m]Just[/name_m] feels a little clunky. The only nn I like is [name_f]Annie[/name_f].

Isobel-That’s nice. I do prefer this spelling. And I like the nns [name_u]Izzy[/name_u] & Ibbi.

Theodora-Gorgeous. [name_u]Strong[/name_u] & feminine & unique but not complicated. I prefer the nn [name_f]Thea[/name_f]. [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is too popular for boys.

Augusta-This name is staring to grow on me. It’s interesting & unexpected. I think that I like [name_f]Aggie[/name_f] more.

Arabella-I like this. It’s a little frilly w/Frances & [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], but not at a deal breaker.

Cecilia-This name is totally fine. It has similar qualities to [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], but doesn’t excite me as much for some reason.

Alberta-I love [name_m]Albert[/name_m] for a boy, but [name_f]Alberta[/name_f] does feel kind of clunky. It’s certainly different, & I like the nn Biridie.

Rose-Ooh, a sleek, elegant & bold classic. With the super cute nn of [name_f]Rosie[/name_f].

[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] nn Poppy-Hm. I don’t mind [name_f]Philippa[/name_f], but much prefer [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] nn [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]. I find [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] awkward to say, because I don’t know where to emphasize the syllables.

Louisa-Beautiful! Smart & vintage & not popular & fits in perfectly w/your crew.

Mary-I like this more in theory more than actually saying it, if that makes sense. I like it for the nns of [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] or [name_f]Molly[/name_f].

Marguerite-I’m not big on this one for some reason. I’d prefer the more classic [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] w/your crew. Although, could you do [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] nn [name_f]Gerty[/name_f]? I love [name_f]Gerty[/name_f]!

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

Thank you all so much for your help! I have narrowed my list down a little. It now includes:

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] nn [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]

[name_f]Louisa[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], & [name_f]Rose[/name_f] go best with the others imo

Thank you so much

[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] is my favorite of all time, so I have to share some love for her! I also love [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] (my favorite nns are [name_f]Annie[/name_f], Alexie, and Xanthe), [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], etc.

With [name_f]Frances[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], and [name_m]Henry[/name_m], I think [name_f]Isobel[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Philippa[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], and [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] work best.

Good luck!
