Francesca or Francine?

I would totally choose [name_f]Francine[/name_f]! It’s been on top of my list for a while. It’s not only Chic and sophisticated, but also has that spunky, sassy flair. I can’t wait to use it someday.

I prefer [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] over [name_f]Francine[/name_f], but [name_f]Francisca[/name_f] is even better!

I love [name_f]Francine[/name_f] it’s a beautiful name for a baby girl I feel like [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] is to clunky

I [name_u]Love[/name_u], [name_u]Love[/name_u], [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Francine[/name_f]! The nn’s [name_f]Francie[/name_f] and/or [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] are adorable! I think [name_f]Francine[/name_f] is becoming the newest in elegance and style. I saw the reference to [name_u]Casey[/name_u] and [name_f]Candice[/name_f] Neistat’s little girl [name_f]Francine[/name_f] on here a few days ago. What a little cutie!!

I personally prefer [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] but both names are lovely in my opinion!

Oh! [name_f]Francine[/name_f] the Beautiful gets my vote! She’s my little bambina love:p

Prefer [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]!

[name_f]Francine[/name_f]!! :two_hearts::two_hearts: I like [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] too, but [name_f]Francine[/name_f] has my vote!

I prefer [name_f]Francesca[/name_f].

I didn’t read the other replies but [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]!
So pretty!

I like both names, but [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] shines brightest for me. It’s fortunate that your husband picked such a gorgeous name!

Seems very 50/50 with what people prefer. I think it will be [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] in the end as that is what he wanted and I like it also. Then he wants her to be nicknamed [name_u]Frankie[/name_u], which I dont mind either. Thanks so much for all your input though! I stilll really like [name_f]Francine[/name_f] also!! x

Is [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] an honour name for someone with a name containing “[name_u]Fran[/name_u]”? If not, then I’m not sure why [name_f]Francine[/name_f] is an alternate to [name_f]Francesca[/name_f], because they really are very different names. There’s nothing in common except that they both contain “[name_u]Fran[/name_u]”. They aren’t the same style or length, and don’t invoke similar impressions.

Names that are similar to [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] are [name_f]Angelica[/name_f]/[name_f]Angelina[/name_f], [name_f]Luciana[/name_f], [name_f]Valentina[/name_f], [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f], etc.

Names that are similar to [name_f]Francine[/name_f] are [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Marge[/name_f] and [name_u]Joan[/name_u].

So, I just don’t see [name_f]Francine[/name_f] as an alternate to [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]. I don’t prefer one or the other. They are both very lovely in each of their categories.

It is if you’re looking for a route to [name_u]Fran[/name_u], [name_f]Franny[/name_f] or [name_u]Frankie[/name_u].

Who says you can’t like both [name_f]Francine[/name_f] and [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]? Granted, I don’t like [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] but [name_f]Francine[/name_f] is my #1 name and I also happen to like [name_f]Valentina[/name_f], [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] and [name_f]Angelica[/name_f].

Its not to honour anyone, he just likes the name. I do think [name_f]Francine[/name_f] and [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] are similar ([name_u]Fran[/name_u]) although very different styles.
