[name_u]Francis[/name_u] is all boy and [name_f]Frances[/name_f] is all girl to me. I like both and plan on using either one to honour.

I love them both, pretty much equally to be honest. As you and the pp have mentioned I also only like the [name_u]Francis[/name_u] spelling for a boy, and the [name_f]Frances[/name_f] spelling for a girl.

I love them both, but if I had to have a boy named [name_u]Francis[/name_u], or a girl named [name_f]Frances[/name_f], I would choose to name a daughter [name_f]Frances[/name_f] before naming a son [name_u]Francis[/name_u]. Great names!

Actually, I prefer [name_f]Francesca[/name_f], but [name_f]Frances[/name_f] could also get you the adorable nicknames [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] or [name_f]Francie[/name_f].
