Fraye?

[name_f]My[/name_f] great grandmother was [name_f]Faye[/name_f] & I love it but SO not so much. Honestly I usually prefer unisex names. Is Fraye a usable alternative? Other suggestions welcome!

I think Fraye is cute! It feels pretty usable to me, I wouldn’t question it if I met someone with the name

[name_f]Fey[/name_f] feels pretty neutral to me, even though it’s listed as feminine on here. What about [name_u]Finn[/name_u] or [name_u]Fen[/name_u]?
[name_f]Faye[/name_f] means fairy, so what about a name with a similar mystical meaning/feel, like [name_f]Navi[/name_f] or [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]?

[name_m]Frey[/name_m], spelled this way, is actually a boy name. Fray is also a word meaning “to show the effects of strain”, which is not a great association. You might like the name [name_f]Faith[/name_f], which is actually my name and I go by Faye. Another idea is using a name that means “fairy”, which is the meaning of [name_f]Faye[/name_f]. [name_f]Parisa[/name_f] and [name_f]Alara[/name_f] are some examples.

I like Fraye. Too bad they don’t like [name_f]Faye[/name_f], because it is indeed a very pretty name.
I agree with spelling it [name_m]Frey[/name_m], though Fraye is definitely usable. [name_u]Ray[/name_u] is a similar unisex option, and [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_u]Wren[/name_u] give off really similar vibes.

Fraye is interesting. I quite like it!
