French name Fleur de lis?

Hello, I have loved the name lily for the longest time. However, it’s a little too popular for me so I would probably never use it except for a middle spot.
I recently found the name [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] de lis from the hunchback of notre dam. It means [name_f]Lily[/name_f] flower in french and I really like it.
What do you all think she could go by [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] for short but her full first name would be [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] de lis.
Thank you for your help

I’d possibly use de lis as a middle, of spell it as [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] Delis or Fleurdelis?

Tbh this is my first thought The Fleur-de-lis: Meanings, Uses, and Facts • FamilySearch
Not necessarily a bad association but something to be aware of.

I agree with others that using Fleur as a first and Delis as a middle sounds best.

I saw Fleurdelis on a name list the other day and found it really intriguing! I’d definitely spell it like that in full, with nn Fleur.

I don’t really like [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] de lis as a first name—well, or as a name to be more exact. I’d prefer just Lis, meaning “lily” or [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] meaning “flower.” Naming someone [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Flower[/name_f] feels like too much of a mouthful. Personally, I’d pick one. They’re both fine names!

I wouldn’t think it would be possible legally to have her first name be “Fleur de lis” (a triple first name, with the second two names being lowercase). I’ve seen Fleurdelis before but I think that would be a mouthful for Americans/English speakers with little knowledge of French to decipher.

What if you just used Fleur and called her Fleur de lis?

I think it’s very pretty. I would spell it Fleurdelis for practical reasons.

There is a Spanish name [name_f]Flordelis[/name_f], pronounced flor-de-LEES, that you might also like?

Thank you for all of the great suggestions.
I think if I was to use the name [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] would be her first name and de lis would be the middle names but I do really like the Spanish suggestion.
Does anyone know of any other sort of french/ lily names?
I quite like [name_f]Solene[/name_f].

What about [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] [name_f]Lisette[/name_f]?

I would just go with [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]. There’s also [name_f]Flora[/name_f] and [name_u]Florence[/name_u]. I like the idea of [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] as a combo

I’m not sure you could register “de” and “lis” as middle names. At least not here, but I don’t know where you live.
I prefer Fleurdelis, that’s absolutely gorgeous. And [name_f]Flordelis[/name_f] has been on my list for a very long time.

I think [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] on its own is fine. “Fleur de lis” as a name is a bit too much for me. I think you would get all kinds of misspellings and mispronunciations. I also associate fleur-de-lis more with the [name_u]French[/name_u] heraldry symbol (found for example in the flag of Quebec) rather than with the actual flower.
