So, we really like [name]Frost[/name] for a boy. We can’t help but love the nature-y and winter feel of it. (Oh, and it was my maiden name.)
What do you think? Any suggestions/advice? Should we abandon it for something more… usable? There are other names that we think are great, but we seem to be stuck on this one.
I named a character in my novel [name]Frost[/name]. I don’t think it works as a first name [name]IRL[/name] but I think it would make a cool middle name, very cool! I would love to hear the other names you love so that we could all help you pair it with a cool first name.
I think [name]Frost[/name] would be a really cool choice (no pun intended), seeing as it’s your maiden name. [name]Just[/name] don’t pair it with [name]Jack[/name].
I love love love [name]Frost[/name], I have been tossing it around in my head a lot lately, but I’m really not sure about it as a first name, but I think it would be a totally awesome middle!!!
[name]Love[/name]! [name]One[/name] of my favourite last names and a very cool first or middle name! I think you can get away with it being in the first name spot without coming off as too much of a hippie since it’s your maiden name (lucky!).
I think [name]Frost[/name] is interseting. I love that it’s your maiden name, but I’m not sure how usable it would be in the real world. I think it would be a really great middle name.
I do worry about it sounding better as a theoretical name for a theoretical person than an actual name for an actual person, know what I mean? I love it, but that would be my only hesitation.
I think it works well as a first name, and the connection to your maiden name makes it doubley special. I have cousins with the surname [name]Frost[/name], who go by [name]Frost[/name] or Frosty almost exclusively and it works great for them.
I think it works gorgeously as a middle name and nicely as a first name. I just find one syllable middles easier than firsts. And maiden names are nice middle names - but I’m biased, as I have my mom’s maiden name as a middle.
I’d only like it as a middle. I dislike the fact that it sounds wintery and frosty, and I know this sounds silly, but…it would lead me to have this idea that the bearer was a cold person.
