I love the name [name]Beau[/name] for a girl but I don’t want to use it as a FN because of the meaning and usual male usage. Can you think of any names besides [name]Beatrice[/name]/[name]Beatrix[/name] that have the [name]Bo[/name]/[name]Beau[/name] sound in them that I could use as a FN?
My favorite is [name]Bowie[/name]. Maybe Beryll (pron. [name]Burl[/name]) or [name]Bristol[/name]? The [name]BO[/name] isn’t together but it isn’t too far off.
[name]Isabeau[/name]
Bolissa (I know someone with this name)
Boleyn
[name]Beulah[/name]
[name]Mirabeau[/name] or [name]Isabeau[/name] are also a good ones. I also like [name]Bowie[/name], and considered it for this pregnancy, but for a little guy (also as a nickname for [name]Bowen[/name]). I think it could be a nickname for any name that starts with B really, like [name]Bridget[/name], [name]Blythe[/name], [name]Bronwyn[/name], [name]Beverley[/name], [name]Bijou[/name], [name]Bryony[/name], [name]Britton[/name] etc.
xo [name]Viv[/name]
You could also go with something like [name]Bailey[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] and take the initials to “[name]Bo[/name]”.
What about using the initials [name]BO[/name]? Otherwise, I don’t know, really. Maybe [name]Bryony[/name] or [name]Bora[/name]/[name]Deborah[/name]? That’s all I can think of, really.
Good luck!
Thanks! This is why I love nameberry - I hadn’t thought of using the initials!
Boleyn?
[name]Roberta[/name]
[name]Deborah[/name]
[name]Bonnie[/name]
The one thing about the initials is that they also say B.O. as in ‘body odor’ but if that doesn’t bother you, then NBD!
What about
[name]Abby[/name] [name]Odette[/name] (a prominent ‘b’ but no initial issue?)
This is tough. [name]Beau[/name] / [name]Bo[/name] is so cute for a girl that I would say using [name]Beau[/name] with a girly mn or even a hyphen girly middle name:
[name]Beau[/name]-[name]Louise[/name] or something? The only names I can think of aren’t my style, but maybe you will like something?
[name]Deborah[/name], [name]Roberta[/name], [name]Robin[/name], [name]Bonita[/name], [name]Barbara[/name], [name]Bardot[/name], [name]Begonia[/name], [name]Ebony[/name], Lubov / [name]Luba[/name] (Russian word for [name]Love[/name]), Gabourey, Beauty, [name]Beauregard[/name]…
I know [name]Beauregard[/name] is the male full name for [name]Beau[/name], but maybe kind of cute for a girl?
I have thought of Lubov off and on and I like [name]Robin[/name], but most of the ones I can think of I don’t like nearly as much as I like [name]Beau[/name] plain…
[name]Ebony[/name] won’t get you [name]Bo[/name] everyone calls you Ebs as and ebony or [name]Eb[/name]. [name]Ebony[/name] is my name
[name]Boheme[/name], [name]Bowie[/name], [name]Bo[/name] (on it’s own, means “wave” in Chinese), [name]Bobbie[/name], [name]Bonnie[/name], [name]Booker[/name], Bosko, [name]Boudicca[/name], Beaumont. Hmm, it’s all I could find but its not great. The one that would work the most is probably [name]Boheme[/name].
And it is not pronounced E Bony but E [name]Bonnie[/name]
[name]Bo[/name] for a girl ROCKS! It’s a GP of mine.
There is a character on a tv show that I love named [name]Bo[/name] and her full name is actually [name]Isabeau[/name]. She also went by [name]Beth[/name].
The only names I can think of as a potential full name for [name]Bo[/name] are [name]Bonita[/name] or [name]Bonnie[/name]. If you’re adventurous, perhaps, [name]Boheme[/name] or [name]Bohemia[/name]?
I knew a Bodicca (more phonetic spelling of Boudica/Boadicea) in school who went by [name]Bo[/name]. Her best friend’s name was [name]Johanna[/name], nickname [name]Jo[/name]. [name]Jo[/name] and [name]Bo[/name]. They were super cool, so I’m going to go ahead and assume that any other Bodicca/Boudica/Boadicea who goes by [name]Bo[/name] would get automatic coolness too.
I love the suggestion of [name]Bronwyn[/name].
For some reason I can see [name]Bo[/name] as a nickname for [name]Elizabeth[/name] too. Yeah it’s a stretch but I like it.
