I absolutely love the name [name_f]Anya[/name_f], but I would prefer it as a nickname. I know that [name_f]Anya[/name_f] is a (Russian?) nn for [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], and I like [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], but i don’t love it. Can [name_f]Anya[/name_f] be a nn for other An names? I love the name [name_f]Anabella[/name_f]. Can I do [name_f]Anabella[/name_f] nn [name_f]Anya[/name_f]? Any other suggestions?
I think it could work
BehindTheName.com says it’s a diminutive form of [name_f]Anna[/name_f] - which is what I had heard before.
So I think you could use [name_f]Anya[/name_f] for any [name_f]Anna[/name_f]- or - anna related name.
So [name_f]Anabella[/name_f] would totally work.
I also like…
[name_f]Ayana[/name_f] (modern name invention - which I’m not usually a fan of but I like this one)
[name_f]Alanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Annalise[/name_f]
[name_f]Arianna[/name_f]
[name_f]Morgana[/name_f]
[name_f]Vianna[/name_f]
[name_f]Yolanna[/name_f]
etc.
I really like the name [name_f]Anya[/name_f] and I think it would be the cutest nickname for [name_f]Antonia[/name_f]. [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is really pretty and I could totally see [name_f]Anya[/name_f] being a nickname for that too.
[name_f]Aniya[/name_f] is perfectly nice on its own
