I’m currently loving the name [name_m]Briggs[/name_m], but I’m looking for something with a little bit more…substance? Any names (besides [name_m]Brigham[/name_m]) that you think [name_m]Briggs[/name_m] could be a nickname for?
I think you might be stretching it a little. If [name_m]Briggs[/name_m] doesn’t feel substantial enough to you, I would keep looking.
Maybe Albright or [name_u]Brighton[/name_u], nn [name_m]Briggs[/name_m]? I really don’t think anything going to make [name_m]Briggs[/name_m] an intuitive nickname but [name_m]Brigham[/name_m].
Never heard this name before, bur must say I do really like [name_m]Briggs[/name_m] as it is… Very cute.
From your signature, [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] could give you nn [name_m]Briggs[/name_m].
I love [name_m]Briggs[/name_m] and would use it as is. [name_f]IMO[/name_f], it’s a recognized name on its own, so to name him something else and call him [name_m]Briggs[/name_m] just adds unnecessary confusion.
I actually really like [name_m]Brigham[/name_m] and the suggestion of [name_m]Bridger[/name_m]! I’m with everyone else though and think [name_m]Briggs[/name_m] by itself is very handsome!

I’m LDS (Mormon), so [name_m]Brigham[/name_m] is out of the question. The association is just far too strong. Haha!
@katinka CAN’T BELIEVE I didn’t think to use it as a potential nickname for [name_m]Bridger[/name_m]! I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] IT! [name_m]Feel[/name_m] like such a dummy! Haha That solves two problems for me, since I’ve been debating taking [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] off my list since my family is big on nicknames and I wasn’t very fond of [name_m]Ridge[/name_m]. Thanks everyone for the opinions about [name_m]Briggs[/name_m] as a standalone name! I’ve loved it for a long time but wasn’t sure if it could standalone! Now I know it most definitely can!
