I love the name [name_u]Del[/name_u]/[name_u]Dell[/name_u] for a boy, however I feel it’s too short to work on its own (despite my love for nickname-names), so I need a longer form. The ones I’ve found so far are:
The only ones I like out of these are [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] and [name_m]Delano[/name_m]. However, I worry [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] has “gone to the girls” and [name_m]Delano[/name_m] is too Italian-sounding to work for me. So what do you think of this list; do any of these work, or should I just use [name_u]Del[/name_u]/[name_u]Dell[/name_u]? Any other suggestions of how to get to [name_u]Del[/name_u]/[name_u]Dell[/name_u] would also be appreciated. Thanks!
There was a character on the show “Private Practice” who went by [name_u]Dell[/name_u], whose first name was [name_m]William[/name_m]. Not sure how that works but anyway.
[name_u]Wendell[/name_u] is another name that works, I actually quite like [name_u]Wendell[/name_u].
Private Practice was where I first heard the name, @sunkissedchild, and I’ve loved it ever since. [name_u]Wendell[/name_u] is okay, if a little dorky… I’ll think about it, thanks!
@anna.bliss - Your son’s name is very cute! Not sure it’s my style though. Delson is cute too, but I’m not a fan of made-up names. Thanks for the suggestion though. I’m leaning towards just [name_u]Dell[/name_u] at the moment, but I’d welcome any more ideas.
