I like the suggestion of [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], and also came to suggest the LC initial combo but I see someone beat me to it

I know an [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] (under 5yrs old) and it’s just [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], not short for anything.

I can definitely see [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] as a stand alone name! If you want a different full name some ideas are…
[name_u]Chelsea[/name_u]
[name_f]Elinor[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f]
[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f]
[name_u]Kelsey[/name_u]
Also if you have the initials be LC, like [name_f]Lillia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] or [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_u]Clarke[/name_u], you could have LC/Elsie be a nickname.

Elsie as a full name all the way!!!
(Sorry, this is my favorite girls name, and I am really passionate about this )
The way I see it, [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] has so many nicknames, and has been popular for so long…
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] stands alone to me.

@Marae_Grace1 - YES! That’s why I was so torn, because [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] is also my favorite girls name. I never really understood how you get [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] from [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] haha. But you’re right, it definitely can stand alone.

My niece was almost [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] nicknamed [name_f]Elsie[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] sister’s sister-in-law ended up using [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] instead and got it from the first and middle names- [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and something with an S in it that I can’t remember.

Elsie is super cute. I think anything that ends in -elle could also work:

Brielle
[name_f]Chantelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Christelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Danielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Marielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Roselle[/name_f]
[name_f]Sibelle[/name_f]
etc.

@lialia - wow! I would have never have thought of using [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] for a name that doesn’t start with [name_f]El[/name_f]-. I love your suggestions!

I think [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] can stand on its own, but here are some [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] alternatives:

Elspeth
[name_f]Elisabetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Elisabet[/name_f]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Elisa[/name_f]
[name_u]Chelsea[/name_u]
[name_u]Kelsey[/name_u]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]

I think that it’s a fine standalone name.

Elise
[name_f]Elissa[/name_f]
Elsmore
Elcine
Elsina
[name_f]Elsha[/name_f]
[name_f]Elnora[/name_f]
[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Elske[/name_f]

The first name that came to mind was Elsabe.
