hello! i love the idea of naming my daughter after my great-grandmother. i don’t love either her first or middle name- agnes patricia. but we always called her gigi, which i think is super adorable! however, i don’t think gigi is a substantial first name, so what are some full names that can be shortened to gigi, other than the usual gabrielle/a, genevieve, grace, georgia and all its variants. i love quirky names, in the same style of aurora, delilah, poppy, sunniva, etc. thanks in advance!
I love [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] and think it would be a spunky middle for several of the names you listed
[name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] [name_f]Agnes[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Agnes[/name_f]
[name_f]Giada[/name_f]
[name_f]Giavanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Gertrude[/name_f]
[name_f]Ginger[/name_f]
[name_f]Gia[/name_f]
[name_f]Gisele[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] makes a great middle spot if you truly want GG initials. Are you planning for her to use [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] as her name all her life, or do you want it to be a cutesy nickname through childhood? If it’s just a nickname, I think you can choose any name you want and just call her gigi?

Maybe [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]? I also like [name_f]Gia[/name_f], [name_f]Giselle[/name_f], and [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] already mentioned.
I like the suggestions of [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Angelina[/name_f]
[name_f]Giulia[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgina[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f]
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f]
[name_f]Eugenie[/name_f]
[name_f]Regina[/name_f]
[name_f]Ginger[/name_f]
[name_f]Margery[/name_f]

It’s kind of funny because my name is [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], and my sisters name are [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f]!
Really like [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] as a full name for [name_f]Gigi[/name_f].
G names with a “J” sound that haven’t been suggested yet: [name_f]Genevia[/name_f], [name_f]Gillian[/name_f], [name_f]Gina[/name_f], [name_f]Ginnifer[/name_f], [name_f]Guiliana[/name_f]
G names without the “J” sound that haven’t been suggested yet: [name_f]Glenna[/name_f], [name_f]Glenda[/name_f], [name_f]Glinda[/name_f], [name_f]Gloria[/name_f]/Gloriana, [name_f]Gracelyn[/name_f], [name_f]Greer[/name_f], [name_f]Gretchen[/name_f], [name_f]Gretel[/name_f]/Gretyl, [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f], [name_f]Gayle[/name_f]/[name_f]Gail[/name_f], [name_f]Gaea[/name_f]/[name_f]Gaia[/name_f]
I like the idea of a non-“J” sound G name paired with another G name so the initials are GG, but you’re not only limited to “J” sound G names. [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is lovely.
OR the first name could be a G name (J-sound or not) and the middle name could have a strong “J” sound in any spot (whether it’s a G or a J), like: [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Glenna[/name_f] [name_f]Angelique[/name_f], [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Regina[/name_f], [name_f]Greta[/name_f] [name_f]Virginia[/name_f], [name_f]Greer[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u], [name_f]Garnet[/name_f] [name_f]Solange[/name_f], [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] [name_f]Julianna[/name_f], [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f], [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Ginnifer[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f], [name_f]Gretchen[/name_f] [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], [name_f]Giana[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]….
I also think the SOUND is more important that the letters in a nickname, so if you prefer a J-name, I don’t see why [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_u]Genesis[/name_u], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_u]Grey[/name_u], [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f], or [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] couldn’t have the nickname “[name_f]Gigi[/name_f]” – it’s the same sound, it’s just that [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] is a more familiar/common way to spell it than JeeJee or Ji-Ji!
