Full name for "Huck"

So my current favourite boy name is [name]Huck[/name]. I think its super cute, but is it not really wearable because its too nick-namey? Does anyone have any name suggestions that could use [name]Huck[/name] as a nick-name? Besides the obvious “[name]Huxley[/name],” or “[name]Huckleberry[/name]” as I don’t really like that =( (of course it couldn’t be easy right?)

I like when nicknames are less obvious (e.g. [name]Harlow[/name] for [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Della[/name] for [name]Madeline[/name]), so this could be a prime opportunity to make thing interesting

Some thoughts:
• [name]Hugh[/name]
• [name]Harold[/name]
• [name]Hanson[/name]
• [name]Hannibal[/name]
• [name]Hamilton[/name]
• [name]Henry[/name]
• [name]Holland[/name]
• [name]Humphrey[/name]
• [name]Hugo[/name]
• [name]Hudson[/name]
• [name]Howard[/name]
• [name]Tucker[/name]

Outside the obvious [name]Huckleberry[/name], what about outside references to the book?
Like [name]Mark[/name] (as in [name]Mark[/name] [name]Twain[/name])… which may be a bit of a stretch, but could work once explained.
Or the other half of [name]Huckleberry[/name]… [name]Finn[/name]?
You could even stretch out the [name]Finn[/name] to [name]Finley[/name] or [name]Finnegan[/name]?

Maybe even [name]Tom[/name] or [name]Sawyer[/name]? ([name]Huck[/name]'s first appearance was in “[name]Tom[/name] [name]Sawyer[/name]”.
I agree with the names above (I like [name]Hugh[/name] and [name]Tucker[/name] the best), but you really haven’t told us that much else about your naming style beside [name]Huck[/name].

I was even thinking as [name]Chuck[/name] is short for [name]Charles[/name], [name]Huck[/name] shouldn’t be too much of a stretch as a nickname for [name]Charles[/name].
(I also like [name]Howard[/name] from the list above)

What about [name]Huxley[/name] nn [name]Huck[/name]?

[name]Bravo[/name]! I really like these suggestions. [name]Way[/name] to think outside the box!

These are my favorite names to get to [name]Huck[/name].

[name]Charles[/name]
[name]Henry[/name]
[name]Hudson[/name]
[name]Huxley[/name]

You could also put him in the middle like [name]Jack[/name] [name]Huckleberry[/name] or [name]William[/name] [name]Huckleberry[/name] nn [name]Huck[/name].

Good luck!

I’m jumping in to say WOW to the great suggestions of [name]Charles[/name] nn [name]Huck[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] nn [name]Huck[/name]. [name]Love[/name] the idea of both of those.

[name]Hugo[/name] and [name]Tucker[/name] are cool ideas, too.

Other thoughts:

[name]Hector[/name]
[name]Hudson[/name]
[name]Hawthorne[/name]
Hawkins
Hendry
Huckabee or Huckaby (might be too political, but in a few years that connection might not be made)

Thanks everyone! keep the suggestions coming! i like the suggestions of [name]Hudson[/name] and [name]Tucker[/name] (I’ve always liked [name]Tucker[/name] too, but got a lot of negative feedback on it). Here is a list of my current fave boys names to give you guys more of an idea of my “style.”

[name]Huck[/name] [name]Weston[/name]
[name]Addison[/name] [name]Jack[/name]
[name]Wylie[/name] [name]Grey[/name]
[name]Oliver[/name] [name]Cole[/name]
[name]Todd[/name] [name]Wesley[/name]
[name]Avery[/name] [name]Layne[/name]
[name]Dexter[/name] [name]Wesley[/name]
[name]Abel[/name] [name]Grey[/name]
[name]Maddox[/name] [name]Carter[/name]

Since you like [name]Tucker[/name] what about something like [name]Henry[/name] [name]Tucker[/name] or [name]Holden[/name] [name]Tucker[/name] , taking the H from the FN and the uck from the MN?

that is an interesting idea! I don’t really like [name]Henry[/name] or [name]Holden[/name] though, do you guys think [name]Harrison[/name] could work? [name]Harrison[/name] nn [name]Huck[/name]?

It doesn’t really have to be just [name]Henry[/name] or [name]Holden[/name] any H name with [name]Tucker[/name] could work. I think [name]Harrison[/name] [name]Tucker[/name] is a stunning name!

Well the name [name]Weston[/name] immediately had me thinking of [name]Charlton[/name] Heston
[name]Charlton[/name] is close enough to [name]Charles[/name] so that [name]Huck[/name] shouldn’t be too much of a stretch… and Heston has the H in it.

I also thought of [name]Hadley[/name] (but seeing as that name has gone to the girls that might be a wasted thought)

I really like the names [name]Hudson[/name] and [name]Tucker[/name], maybe you could pair them with a more traditional name to lessen the negative feedback (like [name]John[/name] or [name]Jack[/name])
