Full name for Kaia?

Does [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] work as a full name for [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]?

According to Nordic Names, [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] is a pet form of Scandinavian versions of [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] (e.g. [name_f]Karen[/name_f], [name_f]Katrine[/name_f]).

What do you think? [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] on the birth certificate, and [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] day-to-day?

I say it works ^^ Nordic names is also correct, if it matters. I’m constantly surprised with their accuracy.
I also really like [name_f]Kaisa[/name_f], but understand she’s more of an acquired taste :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, I love Nordic Names. It’s one of my favourite baby name websites. The annual name statistics are fascinating.

I think it works too, just looking for some feedback to make sure I’m not being completely crazy. I like the idea that she could go by [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] or [name_f]Kate[/name_f] (which I also love) when she’s old enough to choose for herself.

[name_f]Kaisa[/name_f]'s lovely too, although perhaps a little too similar to [name_m]Kaiser[/name_m] in my accent!

I love the name [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]! I think [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] works really well as a full name

It’s fine as a full name

I think it kinda works but it doesn’t really look right to me. I would definitely go with something like Katiana instead. A bonus w/ Katiana is that you get [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]/[name_f]Kat[/name_f]/[name_f]Kate[/name_f]/[name_f]Katie[/name_f]/Katje etc

I think any full name beginning with K would ‘work’ for [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] but I would be so confused, because the only similarity is the fact they share the same first letter. The sounds ‘ky’ and ‘ah’ aren’t in [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] at all.
