Full name for Ky/Kai

[name]Hi[/name] all! I am expecting my fifth boy, and I love the nickname [name]Ky[/name]/[name]Kai[/name]. But I can’t get my husband [name]Connor[/name] to love it. My oldest [name]Alec[/name] calls the baby “[name]Baby[/name] Kyky.” [name]Kyle[/name] is alright, but I don’t think it fits with [name]Alec[/name], [name]Silas[/name], [name]Dashiell[/name] and [name]Elliot[/name]. [name]Kyler[/name] isn’t my style and [name]Kai[/name] only just isn’t enough.

[name]Miles[/name] [name]Kai[/name], [name]Julian[/name] [name]Kai[/name] and others were brought up but I don’t want to call him buy his middle name.

Please Help!

Your sons have such handsome names! I adore the names [name]Silas[/name], [name]Dashiell[/name], and [name]Elliot[/name]!! Wow, fabulous!

Ok, now on to your question…a more “full” name of [name]Kai[/name]/[name]Ky[/name], hmmm, the only ones I could come up with that actually have the sound “[name]Ky[/name]” in them are [name]Caio[/name] and Kairos, but they both feel a little exotic with your boys’ names.

I think if you’re really dedicated to the nickname, you could probably use almost any hard K or C name, paired with a middle name that has a strong ‘y/ai’ sound, and then derive the nickname from there. Some examples:

[name]Christopher[/name] [name]Tyler[/name], “[name]Ky[/name]”
[name]Cassius[/name] [name]Orion[/name], “[name]Ky[/name]”
[name]Curtis[/name] [name]Eli[/name], “[name]Ky[/name]”
[name]Konstantin[/name] [name]Miles[/name], “[name]Ky[/name]”
[name]Callum[/name] [name]Ivan[/name], “[name]Ky[/name]”

Some of these might be hard to pull off, but I personally think the name [name]Cassius[/name] paired with a strong “I” name could easily make the nickname [name]Ky[/name].

This was a tough one, but hope this helps!
[name]David[/name]

[name]Malachi[/name]
[name]Makai[/name]
[name]Cairo[/name]
[name]Caius[/name]

[name]Kyan[/name]
[name]Ciaran[/name]
[name]Kain[/name]

Good luck!

I know a guy called [name]Kyron[/name] which suits him so that could be another option…

I think your other sons have such handsome names with a vintage vibe- so while I think you would go with something like [name]Kian[/name], [name]Kyan[/name], [name]Cairo[/name], and call him nn [name]Cai[/name] or [name]Ky[/name]…they feel more exotic then your other boys. Maybe if you pair it with a more traditional middle. [name]Cairo[/name] [name]James[/name] sounds cool but I know you have an [name]Alec[/name] [name]James[/name]…I love [name]Julian[/name] [name]Kai[/name], but I get you don’t want to call him by his middle name. I grew up with that myself and it is a pain. [name]Kai[/name] does sound fine as a stand alone name though…really it is short and strong like [name]Alec[/name].

[name]Malachi[/name] or [name]Michaiah[/name]

My favorite of the [name]Ky[/name]- names has always been [name]Kyan[/name].

I like Kaius. Or [name]Caius[/name]. It sounds good with the sibset.

[name]Micaiah[/name]
[name]Kya[/name]

[name]Do[/name] you guys think [name]Kyle[/name] is over used? I have been thinking about and I really love its smoothness, [name]Ky[/name]-elle. But [name]Alec[/name], [name]Silas[/name], [name]Dashiell[/name], [name]Elliot[/name] and [name]Kyle[/name], [name]Kyle[/name] seems left out I’m afraid.

Also thank you for the suggestions. I kind of love [name]Kyan[/name], but does it remind you of cayenne pepper?

[name]Kate[/name]- I personally love [name]Kyan[/name], but does it remind you of cayenne pepper?

I think [name]Kyle[/name] is a fine name to use. I personally only know one and he’s in his 20s. It doesn’t exactly “fit” with the sibset but our children are only identified as a cluster with their siblings for the first 20-er odd years of their lives. And even if not, I don’t think it matters all that much. (Many disagree, but to each his own)

For [name]Kai[/name]/[name]Cai[/name]/[name]Ky[/name] as a nn, I like some pp suggestions. [name]Caius[/name]*, [name]Malachi[/name], and [name]Micaiah[/name]… I especially like [name]Caius[/name].

I would add the following:

[name]Kyler[/name]
[name]Micah[/name]
[name]Schuyler[/name] (prn same as [name]Skyler[/name]/[name]Skylar[/name], I just prefer the Dutch spelling)
[name]Zedekiah[/name] (zeh-di-[name]KY[/name]-ah)
[name]Mordecai[/name]
[name]Callum[/name]
[name]Kiah[/name]/[name]Hezekiah[/name]

I really like your sons’ mns by the way. [name]Do[/name] you have any thoughts for #5? [name]Will[/name] you be sticking with a one syllable name?

Congratulations and good luck.

Truthfully, it’s was kind of an accident. [name]Alec[/name] [name]James[/name] for my husband, [name]Connor[/name] [name]James[/name], [name]Silas[/name] [name]Gale[/name] after my grandfather [name]Gabriel[/name] (didn’t like it so we modified it), [name]Dashiell[/name] [name]West[/name] was the name I wanted for [name]Alec[/name] and [name]Silas[/name]- it’s been my favorite since I was a teen, when we found out the third was a boy [name]Connor[/name] said I could finally get my name. ([name]Imagine[/name] our surprise when we find the fifth to be a boy!) And finally we had [name]James[/name], [name]Gale[/name] and [name]West[/name] so we decided on [name]Grey[/name] to fit with the older boys.

[name]Jack[/name] and [name]Ace[/name] were the two middle names I loved but I had two late miscarriages between [name]Elliot[/name] and this baby, and I gave them the names [name]Levi[/name] [name]Ace[/name] and [name]Atticus[/name] [name]Jack[/name]. So though those are my favorites I feel they belong to them not this baby. So while I love [name]Jack[/name], [name]Ace[/name], [name]Atticus[/name] and [name]Levi[/name] I don’t think I can use them.

So now I’m at a loss for one syllables. Though I just love [name]Kai[/name] and if it doesn’t work as a first it will probably be used as the middle.

[name]Connor[/name]'s favorite is [name]Julian[/name], and [name]Julian[/name] [name]Kai[/name] sounds very nice but I don’t love it.
