I recently posted about a full name for [name]Dory[/name] (and got some wonderful suggestions from you) and now I’m looking for a full name for [name]Maisie[/name]! I don’t mind stretching a tiny bit, but I’m not a big fan of using meanings etc. to create nicknames. For example, I would not call [name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Goldie[/name] as a nickname, and I don’t like the idea of using [name]Pearl[/name] or [name]Daisy[/name] as a nickname for [name]Marguerite[/name], things like that. I do really like [name]Marguerite[/name] & [name]Margaret[/name], and I like [name]Maisie[/name] as a diminutive of either, but I would like to keep searching. What are your ideas? Any comments are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Personally I think [name]Maisie[/name] stands on its own just fine. All the [name]Maisie[/name]'s I’ve ever known were simply just [name]Maisie[/name].
I think it is a super adorable name by the way! Definitely makes my list of favorites.

I’ve only ever known it to be used as a short form of [name]Margaret[/name] (it’s a Scottish diminutive I believe), but I like the suggestion of [name]Melisande[/name].
My parents tried [name]Maisie[/name] out on me once, but it didn’t stick, it didn’t suit me!
Well! For some reason the first thing i thought of ‘Amaze’ the word lol! [name]Maisie[/name] short for Amaze? not my sort at all but come on guys it was pretty clever! ‘Amazing’?? No it just wont work for me… maybe if i was slightly more advernturous and daring!
