Hello, my husband and I have been trying to find a name to honor my father in law [name]Bastien[/name], and although the names aren’t closely related, the name [name]Beck[/name] popped into my mind today and I have fallen in love with it. My husband thinks we should have a more formal name on the birth certificate. Any thoughts, besides something like [name]Beckham[/name] - which I don’t like? Thanks

Ditto [name]Beckett[/name]! Although he is very handsome, I think you would get an awful amount of questions reguarding DB if you chose [name]Beckham[/name]. If you don’t mind the connection that’s fine too but, I still think [name]Beckett[/name] is the way to go!

[name]Beckett[/name] is definitely the best way to go. Not sure what your thoughts are for a middle name, but [name]Beckett[/name] [name]Sebastien[/name] would be swoon worthy!
If [name]Beckett[/name] doesn’t appeal, there’s also [name]Beccan[/name]/[name]Becan[/name]/[name]Beacan[/name] (all pronounced [name]Beck[/name]-in, the last is the original form and the first two are anglicized and a little more phonetic) and [name]Beckham[/name].

I hadn”t even begun to thought about middle names because I was so set on finding a first one first, but [name]Beckett[/name] [name]Sebastien[/name] is definitely a swooner. We have planned to give him two middle names; how does [name]Beckett[/name] [name]Sebastien[/name] [name]James[/name] sound?
I also very much like daisy451”s suggestion of [name]Beccan[/name] and genevie”s of [name]Breccan[/name], but I think I have just fallen heads over heels for [name]Beckett[/name]! And nicole_1024, my father in law”s name actually is [name]Sebastien[/name], he has just gone by [name]Bastien[/name] all of his life. We did consider it, but as he never much cared for his full name, we didn”t think it would be the best idea.
