Full name for nickname Kit?

At the moment, I love Kit for a boy. And since I may never get to use another favourite, Kitty (Catherine), for a girl, it’s becoming a more likely option for me

I prefer it as a nickname though, it seems too short to be a first name to me. I’m not really keen on Christopher or Christian, so please don’t suggest those. I also don’t like Locket or Rocket or word names like that.

I did have Atticus “Kit” on my list, but it’s a big stretch and I’m not loving Atticus as much as I did. Beckett perhaps? Or Kitson, not sure what I think of that … or I could use a “cat-” name like Cathmore, Cathan, Cato? Any other ideas for full first names?

Since I plan on using 2 middles, I’ve also considered something with the initials K.I.T.(surname) to get Kit as a nickname. I’m not keen on most K names though. I’ve thought of Kestrel Isaac Thomas and Kennedy Isaac Thomas … what do you think of these? Any other K name suggestions? I don’t like K names that originally/traditionally begin with a C.

Thanks Berries!

ETA: So I’m considering atm Atticus, Beckett, Corbit, Kitson, Kester, Kestrel, Kitron, KIT initials or just Kitt.

What about [name]Kenneth[/name] [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]? Definitely my favorite boy K name.

I think both [name]Beckett[/name] & [name]Atticus[/name] are great ideas!

Some ‘K’ names you might consider…

[name]Keiran[/name]
[name]Kai[/name]
[name]Kian[/name]
[name]Kye[/name]

Some other names I think could work for the nn [name]Kit[/name]…

[name]Patrick[/name]
[name]Quito[/name]/[name]Quyto[/name] (pr. KEE-to)
[name]Quinto[/name]
Chetan/Ketan
[name]Keaton[/name]
Kayeton (kay-eh-tahn)
[name]Kester[/name]
[name]Kristo[/name]

Not really keen on [name]Kenneth[/name], [name]Keira[/name], [name]Kai[/name], [name]Kian[/name], [name]Kye[/name] … for some reason K names just don’t appeal to me much, it’s frustrating.

I like the idea of [name]Patrick[/name], but for some reason I just can’t warm up to that name even though I really want to like it! [name]Kester[/name] would be an interesting option though! My friends and I spotted a [name]Kester[/name] working in a bank once - now every time we go there, we look out for him because his name is so “cool” I also like [name]Christo[/name] ([name]Kristo[/name]), though more as a nickname - like [name]Patrick[/name], I’d also love to love [name]Christopher[/name] because I adore the nickname possibilties (I also like Toph/[name]Topher[/name]). It’s just so bland in my opinion.

I like the [name]Beckett[/name] idea a lot.

What about [name]Kingston[/name]?

I like [name]Kingston[/name], I can’t see myself using it though. [name]Beckett[/name] is appealing to me more

I really like the idea of [name]Beckett[/name] nn [name]Kit[/name]. I never would have thought of that.

I’m in the exact same position so I want to bump this.

I like [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] and [name_u]Beckett[/name_u]! I also thought of [name_u]Keaton[/name_u], [name_u]Keats[/name_u], [name_m]Cillian[/name_m], and [name_m]Crispin[/name_m]. I think [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] and [name_u]Keaton[/name_u] are the most natural choices though.

I think [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] and [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] are your best bets to get to [name_u]Kit[/name_u] without using a K name that you dislike! I also do like the suggestion of [name_u]Cato[/name_u].

I agree with this! [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] and [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] are amazing options for the nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u]. The only other one I was going to suggest was [name_u]Keaton[/name_u]!
