I love the name [name_f]Lark[/name_f], but it feels almost too… childish (??) as a full name? I don’t want people to not take her seriously based on her name, so to have something a bit more formal on her birth certificate would be great. Any ideas?
Maybe…
[name_f]Larissa[/name_f] (or [name_f]Larissa[/name_f] Kate)
[name_f]Clarke[/name_f]
[name_f]Alondra[/name_f] (means Lark)
[name_f]Klara[/name_f] (can make [name_f]Lark[/name_f] out of the letters)
[name_f]Lara[/name_f] (or [name_f]Lara[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Lara[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Lara[/name_f] Kaye)
[name_f]Skylar[/name_f] (one letter from Skylark)
[name_f]Mavis[/name_f] (meanings song bird?)
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] Arkadia
I like @Greyblue’s idea of [name_f]Lara[/name_f] with a K middle name (especially if like in my accent you pronounce the “lar” in [name_f]Lara[/name_f] and [name_f]Lark[/name_f] the same).
[name_f]Larkin[/name_f] is the most direct.
If thats not it I would use first and middle to create the sound, Like [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_f]Clarke[/name_f] or [name_f]Laurel[/name_f] [name_f]Clarke[/name_f]
I like [name_f]Larkin[/name_f] and [name_f]Lara[/name_f] K…. That was suggested. [name_f]My[/name_f] first idea was [name_f]Larkspur[/name_f]. I’ve always liked just [name_f]Lark[/name_f], though! It’s very sweet. Klara/Clara nn [name_f]Lark[/name_f] is a fun idea, though, too!
Good luck!
I also like [name_f]Clara[/name_f] (although IMO it’d be more intuitive if [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is usually pronounced with the “ah” sound where you live, as opposed to the “Claire with an a on the end” pronunciation).
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite is [name_f]Larkin[/name_f] .
[name_f]Clarke[/name_f] was my first thought
[name_f]Klara[/name_f]
[name_f]Larkspur[/name_f]
[name_f]Larkin[/name_f]
Larklynn/ Larklynne
[name_f]Lara[/name_f] [name_f]Kline[/name_f]
[name_f]Larkin[/name_f] / Larken / [name_f]Larkyn[/name_f] are all the most intuitive to me.
But honestly, I like [name_f]Lark[/name_f] as a standalone. It has been on my shortlist for awhile. I don’t think it is too childish, but rather short and to the point, spirited, naturey, and concise. In my mind, it was always [name_f]Lark[/name_f] the spark, I imagine a girl with that name to be very independent and lively.
