Full name for Raya?

I really love the name [name]Raya[/name] (pronounced like [name]Ray[/name]-uh), but I really want it to be a nickname for something. Any ideas? Some of my favorite names for girls are [name]Cordelia[/name], [name]Daphne[/name], [name]Beatrice[/name], and [name]Viola[/name], just to give you guys and idea of my style, although I’m open to all suggestions! Also, I’m ok if “[name]Raya[/name]” has to be spelt a different way to fit with a first name.

My first idea was [name]Soraya[/name], although the “[name]Raya[/name]” part is said like [name]RYE[/name]-ah rather than [name]RAY[/name]-ah. I would think it wouldn’t be that much of a problem, though. [name]Evie[/name] (EE-vee) is a popular nn for [name]Evelyn[/name] (with a soft “E” at the beginning), so I don’t know why your [name]Raya[/name] couldn’t work for [name]Soraya[/name]. That was really the only thing I could think of right away, but maybe something like [name]Rachel[/name], nn [name]Raya[/name], could work, too?

My first thought is [name]Mariah[/name]. Yes, with ‘h’ in its ending so it pronounced ray-uh.

[name]Soraya[/name] is pretty and I say ray not rye for this name.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions! There are some really good ones that I’ve never thought of. I thought of [name]Aurelia[/name] (which I pronounce with the “ray” sound in the middle). If I were to go with [name]Aurelia[/name], I would probably use that and [name]Raya[/name] 50/50. I suppose I could go with just [name]Raya[/name], but I feel like it is just SO different from all my other names!
