I did a similar one if these with not liking [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] and loving [name_f]Tori[/name_f], and I got some amazing suggestions, so for a girl I love the nn [name_u]Rory[/name_u], I do like the name [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] but it’s not really my style or unique enough, I also love [name_f]Lorelai[/name_f] but then it’s too [name_m]Gilmore[/name_m] girls…… so full name for (girl) [name_u]Rory[/name_u]?
Maybe a variant of [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] like [name_f]Aurore[/name_f]?

Probably not the feedback you’re looking for since it seems you want it to be a nickname, but I personally see Rory as it’s own name, I wouldn’t assume it was short for anything if I met one, though I wouldn’t be surprised if it was either. (Just saying this in the small chance you’d like to use it on its own but are nervous to)
